Found the forum while doing a search for some recipes to try
just experimenting at the moment - and want to learn more about 'converting' traditional recipes
looking foward to reading through the forums

Hi and welcome to the forum Kathryn. Converting recipes is fun and once you get the hang of it, it becomes second nature. I'd suggest you find a recipe on the forum which is similar to what you had in mind eg a chicken curry. Write down the steps you intend using and as you go through them, adjust the time or speed if needed. Always make notes of what you've done as you go as you'll not remember them later (if you are anything like me). We're always here to give some guidance if you need it and one day you'll be able to read normal recipes and be converting them in your mind as you go. As far as chopping times are concerned, to start with less is best as you've probably already found out.

Hi, Judy's advice is excellent. Follow her steps. You will get to the stage where you will look at a recipe and automatically convert it in your mind. Have fun.
