Hi All
I am a new Thermomix user originally from Cornwall UK living in Muscat, Oman. My Thermomix was delivered just this week and I am so excited. So far I have made a fairly disastrous Beef Rendang, a lovely onion chutney, great coconut flour brownies (although my husband did comment that he is glad that he isn't gluten intolerant so I'm not sure how successful they were!) sugar free banana bread and steamed some veg, I can't wait to really get my teeth into it.
I want to do away with any bought jarred sauces, do lots of baking for my husband and 11 month old and really start to enjoy cooking again as living in Oman I find it difficult to get excited about cooking as the supermarkets here are less than inspiring.
Looking forward to chatting to you all and trying some of the recipes.

Welcome to,the forum TM, the TMX is great for making jams and sauces as it stirs for you while it cooks ,,love that feature, and I love the fact that you aren't making a huge quantity. Enjoy your cooking.

Hello TM, a big welcome to the forum. It takes time to get used to the Thermomix, it is so different to our old way of cooking. You've done the right thing by following some advice and joining us here so please feel free to ask as may questions as you need.

Welcome TMX. You can do amazing things with the TMX and basic ingredients. For more exotic ingredients you may be able to get someone to post to you.
We all had disasters when we started. Don't let this put you off. Have fun.

Hi Thermie Muscateer
DH and I lived/stayed in Muscat 3 times, the last one being 6 years ago. Loved the place, people and history and of course the souk. It was a challenge driving and we always tried to go the back way to avoid the traffic. My first time driving on the 'wrong' side of the road was to the Grand Mosque with my daughter from NZ who had just arrived the day before. She said how long have you been driving here and I said that this was my first time! She went quiet! But we made it and several trips after that. Lots of fun exploring

Hi and welcome to the the world of the TM. After 18 months of ownership, it's still the best thing since sliced bread, in my opinion. Hope you fall in love with yours too!
