Hi everyone,
My name is Terri and i am a thermomix aholic, and it only arrived today ;D, seriously i have been trawling the forum for the last 4 hours and i cant wait to go to the shops tomorrow to spend a million on all the ingredients i need to make everything from soup and cake to dishwashing liquid and laundry soap............ I'm in love :-* ......... a special thank you to Kathryn aka faffa 70 who is my friendly thermomix consultant :) i made the bread after you left and was soooo happy i went runny around all the neighbours houses dropping off fresh, healthy, additive free bread rolls :)

LMAO Terri, well done to you ;D ;D ;D ;D :-* :-*
-
Oh and WELCOME btw ;) ;) Thermomixer will be happy that you have a MALE Thermomix lol
-
What does LMAO stand for - there are so many acronyms I struggle to your them all out DH - Dear Husband? - or Damned Husband? I really struggle and if this site is to be truly international then there should be a "List of abbreviations" aka Acronyms.

welcome to the addictive world of thermomix Tessa / terri!!!
shayla, we can do that, though most acronyms i would consider international as they have started in the US not here lol

Welcome Terri - yes - good to see that it's a boy!!!

Hi & welcome Tessa. Lucky you, having Kathryn as your consultant - she is a great member of our forum and I get a good laugh out of her postings. She obviously has set you on the right path by intruducing you to this site - way to go ;D ;D ;D Bread rolls on your first night - I'm impressed as I still haven't made a batch of rolls :-)) :-)) :-))

I still don't know what LMAO or DH actually mean???

To put it nicely - laughing my backside off and DH is dear husband. I just google it if I don't know what it means but sometimes i am able to work it out for myself.
-
shayla, i created a thread in chit chat for you ;) go check it out and post anything you don't know know in there and someone will answer asap!

Thanks Karen and Judy - I can usually figure them out due to context but LMAO really had me stuck - I usually google everything but didn't think of it for that one - thought it was some crazy Australian thing.
So my DH (actually would more often be damned than dear) is off to Newlands to watch the Tri-Nations this afternoon - South Africa vs Australia - we wait and see the outcome but it is a beautiful dry and sunny day here so at least it should be a good game to watch.
I am making lamb curry and fish curry and naan bread for his return. Thought I may make the Grissini bread sticks again if I have time.

Welcome Terri to another West Aussie. Lucky you having Kathryn for your demonstrator. She obviously inspired you if you made rolls immediately. Well done.

OK we won and I made Naan and Grissini.
Naan was the most sticky horrible dough I ever worked with but it tasted great. Grissini I made without all the dimpling in Rick's recipe and it was exactly the same as the last time.
