This is what my DH is doing in Adelaide (https://www.facebook.com/cellochallege) this week ... I'll leave you to guess which one he is! If you are not on Facebook, there is a film on vimeo (https://vimeo.com/90106491)

It looks very impressive Marina and I did cheat and eventfully found which was your DH :D :D :D
-
Yes Marina Very impressive. Another talented Dh. He would have plenty in common with CC's DH.
-
Having met your DH, it wasn't hard for me to pick him Marina. What are they going to do with the cello at the end?
-
That is so cool. Which one is your DH, Cuilidh? He makes violins...that's brilliant.
Why are they making a cello?
-
The completed cello will be played at the final concert then auctioned off at the end of the festival to raise funds for future festivals. After the festival, it will come back here to Victoria and Rainer (spectacles, beard - not quite as grey as my DH's) will varnish it then it will go to its new owner.
My DH is the one, invariably peering over the top of his spectacles, wearing light coloured trousers, balding, with a beard (hope he doesn't read this!).

Marina what a talented DH you have and what an achievement this will be. I love the sound of the cello. Have a lovely time in Adelaide.

Wow Marina! I love the cello too. We were at a Sydney Symphony Orchestra concert at the Crescent in Parramatta Park last Saturday. Great night out with friends, fold up chairs, a picnic basket and a wine bottle ;D. Two standouts were Beethovens 5th (of course) and the encore was a gorgeous piece from Glinka's 'Ruslan and Lyudmila'. Absolutely fabulous.
