Title: Keeping it Simple classes in Perth and Adelaide.
Post by: cookie1 on March 02, 2014, 06:45:12 am
I have just booked myself a place at Tenina's Keeping it Simple Class to be held at Subiaco on Wednesday 26th March at 7pm. It should be fun. Anyone else going?

You can either go to Tenina's facebook site and click on Store or go to Tenina.com and click on store. Here is a link.

At the moment only the Darwin classes and the Subiaco one are up and the Subiaco one is fully booked. But as I said I think she is having more. Keep an eye on it.

I know it would be fantastic to catch up with you guys but I'm trying to come up with another reason why I need to go to a class when I can follow the recipe? I haven't come across any recipes in the book that would need a demo for me. This is by far my most fave book of any that I have bought. I won my first copy but I think I may have bought about 5 more for family and as gifts. QFEO comes in 2nd. Do I need  a class?

Not really CP. I don't think I do either. I just decided I enjoy them. I didn't go to the Mexican ones.

I agree CP - KIS is a great book and easy to follow, but like Cookie, I do enjoy Tenina's classes, but I was too late for the Subi class - it's all booked out.

Tenina has announced 2 more classes in Perth. 3rd April at Subiaco and I think the 9th April at Malaga. I guess they will sell out quickly.

I agree with you CP, the classes should have been held before the release of the book perhaps.

Even though we have had KIS for quite a while I really enjoyed my evening. Tenina welcomed us with Orange Julius. So yummy. Definitely to be made frequently. She also made the Umami butter. I could easily eat this by the spoonful.
The Tuscan almond Pesto is another one to be eaten by the spoonful. We had these served to us with crackers while Tenina was busy preparing other foods. ( Tenina made these with us first).
The chicken sausage toad in the Holders were made. Tenina did the batter early so that it could stand. I wouldn't have made these but the flavour was really good, so they are now n my list.
The dressing in the Red Cabbage and Sprout salad has an amazing flavour. I'll certainly be making at least the dressing. Another recipe Tenina made that I will definitely make is the Fruity Quinoa Stuffed Peppers.
The dessert for the evening was Mexican Chocolate , as bark and in a tablet, Quinoa Chocolate Truffles and Vegan Icecream. The avocado makes this so silky smooth and can't be tasted.
By the time we had consumed the drink, the dip, butter and crackers. Then a plate full of the main type of things and dessert I was very full.

I was glad I went as I will now make some things that I may not have made before.

I think there may be more Kezza. I know some if not all are booked out but I got the feeling that Tenina may do more. She has been busy on her new website, Tenina.com
And she is in Melbourne this weekend.

Thanks for the review cookie...Kezza you did make it in the end...yes?

I am running two more down south, Albany and Denmark at wineries with open cellar doors, that should be a draw card.
Tix available online in my store.
PM me if you want more details.

I love doing classes, just dont have enough hours in the day to do all that I would like.

It is such a pleasure to meet lovely people who are making it possible for me to do what I love to do. Thank you thank you thank you to all who attend, buy my books, write about me on here, or review recipes/classes/books.

I hope to see lots of you down south kids.

Yes I finally got there in the end Tenina!  Lovely to see you and for those who get a chance to go to Tenina's classes, you will love it.  Even though I have had my tmx for a while now, you never stop learning and you get great tips from Tenina.  Not only that, if you get chatting with the other people who attend, you get great tips from them too.  It is an all round fun evening.
