Hi,
My name is Tamara i am 23 and i am from Queensland, i have had my Thermomix for almost a year an i have probably used it a total of 20 times, i can't seem to get motivated to use it, so i am hoping this forum will be able to help me to want to use it more,

Hi Tamara, welcome to the forum where so many people have found the inspiration needed to start using their Thermomixes a lot more than they have been. Just spend some time on here looking at our extensive recipe collection, threads like What are you cooking today or what are you having for dinner in the Chit Chat section are a great place to start as the pictures alone should be enough to inspire you.
There are some great recipes on this list of favourites (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=6470.0) posted by CP.
Another great list is posted under this (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=13567.0) recipe of Beef Stroganoff of Chelsea's.
Then we have our list of URL links (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=8228.0) to many great Thermomix blogs where you will find an endless supply of recipes.
Tamara, your inspirational journey is about to begin, I hope it has a great outcome. ;D

Thank You,
i really hope i get to enjoy it, i was so excited to get my Thermomix an then everyone in the house whenever i went to use it to cook dinner sighed, which kind of insulted me a little bit (strange i know), so I'm trying to get my partner to look for recipes with me so he will be more interested, an then he cooks with me. . :)

Welcome Tamara, forum is a great place to get inspiration & also learn how to use TM in conjunction with your family favourites
-
Hi Tamara, welcome to the forum :)
-
Hi Tamara. I can understand your feelings when people sigh. It is very deflating when you have cooked something. I don't mind constructive criticism though. My family are my guinea pigs and quite often they don't like it, but I don't mind as I need that feed back.
Maybe you could select one or two things a week to make. Being in Queensland it is probably warm and humid so perhaps a lovely sorbet to end a meal would go down well. Here is an icecream recipe from Quirky Cooking is based in QLD. It is lovely and very healthy.

Some of the Dessert recipes on here are lovely.
What type of thing would you like to cook? Judy has given you lots of general ideas. The thermomix is good for quiches too. Make the pastry in the thermomix. Do the filling in the thermomix and then bake it in the oven.
Please keep in touch and tell us what you have tried. We can then give feedback and lovely comments. Do you have the thermomix sitting on the bench? That is important as it can be a bother to get out to use. Good luck.

Hi Tamara and welcome. Once you get used to using the tmx you will wonder how you ever managed without it. I do find a lot of people tell me it is not worth spending that much money on an appliance but I just think to myself that I am the winner here.
-
Definitely just start some where. It is so much fun and meals font need to be boring or put on repeat. Ignore the haters and enjoy your creations :)
-
Welcome Tamara, hope you find what you are looking for on this forum! There's plenty of recipes and advice to keep you on track!

Hi Tamara and welcome,
Sorry to hear you haven't gotten into TMX yet. It really is a great gadget, especially for people who aren't great cooks or are time poor.
I found this introduction post inspirational, and you might like it too:

Thanks Guys :-)
I have just tried the Honey Mustard Chicken Recipe, My Partner an i Loved it :=) ive done it twice now, however does anyone else have a problem with there reverse. i cooked chicken tonight i had it on reverse the symbol was up an everything, however it shredded my chicken?
-
That often happens Tamara. I believe that if you add the chicken towards the end of the cooking 5-7 minutes in largish chunks it will cook and not shred. I may need to be corrected on that.
-
What speed were you using Tamara?
-
speed soft
-
its happened to me once before when i cooked butter chicken.
-
Mmm, speed soft shouldn't do any chopping. OK, next question - how big were your cubes of chicken?
-
about 1 - 2cms
-
I've cut my chicken that small if the filling is to be used in vol au vents but if you cut them 3-4cm they will have a better chance of staying intact - or add them later as has been suggested.
-
ok thank you very much will give that ago. .
-
I think the larger size is needed if you add them later too Tamara.
