Hello everyone, I have bitten the bullet and ordered a Thermomix ! cannot wait, it is SO hard waiting for it.
I have invested in a big commercial second freezer this week as well, so I am hoping to fill it with home made food.
I am from Sydney and have 2 girls and a Husband to cook for.
I have been trawling through the forum today and saving all my favourite recipes to my www.pepperplate.com account.
Thankyou for having me here.

Welcome to the forum Jessica. The waiting is very hard. I think I even got to the stage of counting the sleeps. :D
You have been very sensible in saving some of the things you would like to make to Pepperplate. You may well find that your 'to make' list grows longer and longer. Do you know when your machine will be arriving?
-
I had the demo on Monday, but with the New Year holiday the Credit Card was not debited until yesterday !
So I have no idea when its coming, I am trying to be polite and not nag the Demonstrator LOL
-
I can imagine. Mine was quick as I live in WA so it only had to be picked up. I find it hard to believe that I have had it for 5 or 6 years. I can't remember really. :( :( :(
-
Welcome to the forum Jessica.I hope your TM arrives soon so you can get cooking :)
-
Welcome Jessica. Enjoy looking at the recipes and when it arrives , help your self. It is worth reading the comments.
-
Welcome Jessica. It ing is hard. I was lucky as my consultant was so sure I was going to buy at my demo she had one in the boot for me! I have had mine for 5 years and use it every day.

Hi Jessica, welcome to the forum. There's plenty of reading on here to keep you busy until delivery day, please do let us know how it all goes if you are not too busy filling that new freezer ;D
-
Welcome to the forum Jessica. Hopefully your TMX will be delivered soon and you will be up and running. We are a friendly bunch so hope you join us in all our chats. :D
-
Hello Jessica and welcome. The wait is hard but worth it in the end.
-
Welcome Jessica and congratulations! The good thing about the wait is that it gives you time to make a good shopping list for all the new (whole) ingredients you'll want to use, as well as time to clear out the fridge and pantry of all the prepackaged foods you'll be making yourself soon :)
-
Hi Jessica and welcome to the forum, it is a great place for recipes, ideas and help. The waiting is hard, but once your TMX arrives you are going to have a brilliant time.

Thankyou everyone :)
I havent heard anything as yet, so I think I still have a week to wait yet.
I have saved about 30 recipes to try...so I will be very busy when it comes.
-
Hi Jessica, welcome to the forum. I've only been a member here for a couple months but the recipes and help is invaluable.
Hopefully your machine will be here soon. I'm in the UK and waited three working days for it.
-
Hello and welcome Jessica. :)
-
Its coming tomorrow - so excited :)
I am just googling to see how many grams of chick peas I need to soak overnight so I can make Hummus tomorrow.
Have a few other recipes ready to try as well.
-
Good luck for tomorrow Jessica.

Welcome Jessica and also to Anna
With this hot weather, I bet sorbet is on the to do list
I know I've made a strawberry sorbet and my lemon is churning in the ice cream maker.
DH has ordered chocolate sorbet for to,or row but I'm out of cocoa and its too hot to go up the shops
Let us know what you are making
-
Well I love it !
I made Vege Stock, sorbet, iced coffee, macaroni beef, prawn risotto, butter and sticky date pudding.
So much fun :)
-
It sounds as though things are going well.
-
It is thanks Cookie..can I ask a quick question...how do you put the power cord back into the machine?
-
Why would you want to?
Gert
-
Nice selection Jessica. Our TMXs stays plugged in and on the bench at all times, as Gert said, why would you want to put the cord away?
-
Because I am going on holidays and want to take it with me :)
-
I see..you just push the cord back in...I was thinking it would retract itself or something.
Good to know.
Tomorrow is another day..another new TMX recipe ..cant wait.
-
Nice cooking Jessica 8)
-
Jessica be sure to put yourTheromix on it's side when travelling unless you have a proper Thermomix travel bag.
Gert

Thankyou Gert I will..DH thinks I will "nurse" it the whole way. :)
-
Mine travels everywhere with me. Enjoy your holiday.
