When its finished cooking its very runny, and when its cooled its not much thicker. Tenina does say its "not the thickest jam ever" and has given suggestions where it can be used with success. It does taste delicious, and thats the bottom line.

At least you were warned and didn't think it was something you had done wrong CP.

Thanks CP. you have been so busy testing all these new recipes. I appreciate reading your reviews as that helps me decide if it would suit us.

Made this on the weekend. So easy and it isn't thick like bought jam, but it is not as sweet and has to be better for you.

You could always add agar agar to thicken, I guess. Must make this one soon.

I've made this several times now, we love it here. Its great as a (runny) jam but I prefer to use it as a compote. I use it in plain yoghurts and I've substituted cherries and mixed fruit to make similar compotes with the ratios.

I have some cherries in the freezer, thanks for the brilliant suggestion.
