Title: Fundamental basic ingredients
Post by: Jackery11 on December 05, 2013, 12:35:41 am
Hi everyone,
I'm new to the thermomix world and will be reviving mine in the next week. I want to go shopping before I get it so I'm set to go for a few things. I'm just wanting to know what some of the Fundamental basic ingredients are that tend to get used in a lot of dishes. Ie, flours, sugars, spices, etc

Thanks :)

I'll pop some in and I know others will add more. If you want to make soups, find a recipe on here and buy the ingredients for that. Risotto is lovely so you will need risotto rice. A good olive oil is a must. You will need to make so e Vegie stock so you will need  carrot, celery, onion, zucchini etc and some rock salt for that.
If you want to try bread you will need yeast and Bakers' flour.

Possibly the best thing to do is look through the forum and select a couple of things you would like to try and buy the ingredients for those.
Good luck and don't forget to let us know how things go.

Hi Jackery 11, do as Cookie says and just use what you have.  Have fun with you TMX .  Use the recipes here and ask if you need help.
