Title: Looking for a simple cake Idea for kids
Post by: cas484 on October 28, 2013, 12:02:30 pm
Hi,
I hope I have put this in the right place! :-\

I run a Family Day Care and have just purchased aThermomix - I love it!!! ;D
One of the Children I care for is having her 2nd birthday and I would like to make a small cake for the children to celebrate as I am still new to using the Thermomix I was wondering if anyone has any good recipes they could share. I would like to try and keep it simple and not to much sugar - If possible!! I also have another child who can not have nuts so I will be avoiding nuts of any kind.

Thanks in advance!!  ;D

Welcome cas484. A tmx in a day care will be wonderful. I would look at the I Love Bimby chocolate cake. I am on my iPad so don't know how to link it. Sorry. Look in the cakes section, it is a very popular cake and everyone seems to love it.

I've just checked it is called Bimby Chocolate Cake. Let us know how it goes.

Here's the link cas484. I don't know that it will be a small cake but it's very popular for birthday cakes.

I half the ingredients and it works perfectly either as a whole cake or cupcakes :D

I use the ILB chocolate cake all the time.

Another good one is Mrs Woos Banana cake.  It's very similar to Stephanie Alexander's recipe which I love.  Mrs Woos recipe is a slightly smaller quantity from memory so it should be a good size.  You can also make it as cupcakes and freeze the extras - they defrost well.
