Title: Boutique brands - Not
Post by: djinni373 on October 16, 2013, 10:56:00 pm
Well after reading this (http://www.news.com.au/business/companies/these-cool-brands-are-actually-owned-by-major-companies/story-fnda1bsz-1226741359610) a few items have been scrubbed off the list...  :(

I've got to say, some of those caught me by surprise, and I am generally pretty cynical about the huge corporations. I don't buy too many of the products mentioned, but will be a little more wary in the future.

Yes, most of the biggies own everything.
No wonder small companies go bust.

wish one of those big companies would come and buy my business - I'd be outta here in a flash! The big media corporation that is owned by the Murdoch's is acquiring monopoly squares rapidly in the tourism/accommodation business, the little man doesn't stand a chance - you can't beat them so unfortunately to survive you have to join them and be at their ransom.

I know that Masters is owned by Woolworths who wanted to compete against Bunnings.

I hope they don't mess with Tea2. The founder must have made a fortune when she sold it.
