Title: Stained Thermoserver
Post by: Crazy rat lady on October 13, 2013, 03:16:14 am
Hi guys,
I have a brand new Thermoserver which has stained badly after one use. Can anyone suggest a way of cleaning it properly please? It has only had risotto in it.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Ginny

maybe just a cream cleanser like Jif, and a non scratch scourer?

Hi Ginny, welcome to the forum with your first posting.  Now that you've joined us perhaps you could pop over to the Introduce Yourself section on the home page and tell us a little more about yourself, where you live, how long you've had your Thermomix etc.

I have never heard of a Thermoserver being left stained :o   How long was the risotto left in it and what type of risotto was it, was it tomato or curry based perhaps.   Even so, I don't understand how it could stain stainless steel but CP's answer is the way I would go as well using a scouring pad for that extra bit of grunt which is obviously needed.

Pretty unusual for the thermoserver to be stained. What kind of risotto was in it.

I agree with Gert. I have had all sorts of things in mine and it has never stained. I would give your consultant a call and mention it.

Agree, does seem strange for it be stained. I would tackle it with something similar for cleaning the TMX bowl like a scrubbie, bicarb and vinegar, or many ppl say Gumption is fabbo (but I haven't done that one) Good luck

Gumption is a great cleaner but I wouldn't use it on a thermoserver. It can damage the brushed surface effect. I would go for the bicarb and vinegar first.
