Title: Varoma lid rocking
Post by: Thermesa on June 30, 2013, 02:08:31 pm
My consultant is working on this one for me but has anyone seen their varoma lid rocking? It seems to have warped on its first outing and can be rocked side to side rather than fitting flush. It still works as it straightens when hot and the lid is designed to let steam escape. Just curious.

No problems here with my 5.5 year old set up Thermesa.  HO should be able to replace yours if there's a problem with it so keep onto your consultant.

Mine is fine but I am sure that I read some where that the varoma should always be stored assembled as otherwise it will warp. By that I mean the lid on it. I just sit mine on my slow cooker.

Mine was rocking and my consultant got me a new one quick smart. I was rather impressed, then I used my new one and away we go again, rocking its little heart out.

My lovely consultant has leant me hers until we get this sorted out, she took my two wobbley ones and is going to talk to head office.

My new one arrived but I haven't used it yet. We got ours close to the same time. No doubt it's a batch issue. I got the crazed MC replaced too.

Got my third lid yesterday and used it last night, so far no rocking. Maybe they have worked it out now.

I hope so. I wouldn't like a rocking varoma, as it wouldn't seal properly.

I thought as much chookie but mine would straighten out when it was hot and it has holes to allow steam to escape anyway so not so critical.
