Does anyone have a recipe for preserved lemons please? Chookie I had a look at your blog but for some reason I can't access the recipe.
Thanks all.

Does this (http://achookwoman.blogspot.com.au/search?q=preserved+lemons) link to Chookie's blog help Cookie? Actually it probably doesn't as there doesn't seem to be a recipe only a picture.
Found the above recipe on our forum here (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=9677.0) Cookie.

Thanks Judy. I have been away from home for a couple of days. When i researched what to do ,I think Jamie Oliver's method made the most sense.

I was reading that. We have been given some lovely lemons and a friend was saying she had done some.

Does anyone know if you can preserve limes like lemons?
And use them in lieu of lemons in recipes?
My lime tree is overflowing with limes. so much that I only pick the ones up off the ground and attempt to use them up. They've ripened to yellow by then.

I've never done it, Nikikit - but I've actually bought preserved limes . .
If you google "preserved limes" you can come up with several like this one . .http://www.abc.net.au/coodabeens/stories/3047267.htm
Good luck!

Limes work well. I have a tree which fruits all year so always looking for new recipes. Preserving is a winner!

Thanks all, will have to give it a go.
I'm nearly tired of slathering lime curd an inch thick on my toast every morning, and I really don't need to make desserts. I have frozen whole limes in the past to use through the year, but my lime tree seems to produce almost all year, so the frozen limes were tossed - after 3 years in the freezer as I had forgotten about them :-))
