Title: Really good pannacotta?
Post by: past94x on May 19, 2013, 09:46:18 am
I have friends coming for lunch this week who are real foodies!!!  None of them have yet been introduced to my beloved TM either. I want to impress them with it. I'd love them to buy one too.

They think I am bonkers to part with so much money for a kitchen gadget (how wrong they are, it's worth every penny)

I have decided on pannacotta for desert, with fresh raspberries or strawberries. My question is: Does anyone have a TM recipe for pannacotta that they know is good?

It's such a delicate pud and I so want to impress my friends with a good one that I can proudly say was made in my new Thermomix. I've got a couple of recipes from this forum, but they are wildly different in their ingredients quantities etc, so I thought I'd ask you brilliant people for help in deciding. Is anyone a regular maker of this lovely pudding? Can you offer me some help? What do you make for a dessert when you want to show off your lovely TM??
Thanks so much.

Tenina's Kaffir Lime Scented White Chocolate Pannacotta (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=11278.45)  recipe got rave reviews P94x. ;D
I can send you the recipe ;)
Katiej in her review used vanilla to flavour the pannacottas.
I have bought Dried Kaffir Lime Leaves (http://www.waitrose.com/shop/BrowseCmd?pageNo=1&defaultSearch=None&searchTerm=S2FmZmlyIGxpbWU%3D&level0Aisle=Groceries&isFromHomePage=true&searchFlag=true&langId=-11&sortValue=0&storeId=10317&search=Search) in Waitorse if you want to try them in the recipes;D

Thats my suggestion too judy. I made it earlier this year and it is easy and turned out perfectly.

Thanks so much. I will indeed give Tenina's recipe a go. I have great trust in her recipes.
Will, of course, report back ASAP.

I made a test batch of these yesterday -  the lunch is on Thursday - and the flavour is just lovely. I didn't have any lime leaves/oil, so used vanilla paste. I thought the texture was a tad too loose, so when I make them tomorrow, I shall add another 1/4 sheet of gelatine. The white chocolate adds such a lovely, delicate flavour which is not too sweet. i shall serve them with strawberries and  a strawberry sauce. Thanks again for the idea and also to Tenina for the brilliant recipe. That lady is so clever and I think she should be called the Delia of Thermomix - all her recipes work!!!!!
