Title: Do they sell golden beets or sunflower sprouts in WA?
Post by: Tasty on May 16, 2013, 08:33:21 am
I'm just looking at trying some new recipes I've seen from an American/Canadian TV show and they need golden beets and sunflower sprouts. I don't recall seeing any and my local fruit n veg shop which stocks quite a lot doesn't have any.

Does anyone know of somewhere NOR that was them?

I had some golden beets at Jamie's in Perth the other day but he probably got them from interstate. I loved them.
If you find somewhere Tasty I would travel over the river to buy some. Perhaps try ringing the Herdsmans market.

I 'think' I have seen sunflower sprouts in the stupidmarkets. Perhaps they are seasonal. Could you sprout some yourself?

Well I just made the recipe I needed them for now and substituted snowpea srouts for sunflower sprouts and just gave the golden beets a miss. Healthy and tasty recipe with lots of texture!

I may get around to asking the places you mentioned re the ingredients but knowing me, I'll probably forget about it before doing it.
