Title: Tomato soup recipe

I'm wanting to use up some old tomatoes today and was thinking of making the kids some soup for tea. I thought I had seen a recipe on here for tomato soup that tasted like the tinned version but now can't find it. Is anyone able to help me? DS is super fussy with soup but he says he will eat tomato if it tastes like the canned version. ???

Thanks GF, I really like that thread of Jo's but I'm sure there was a recipe just for tomato soup. I'll keep looking.

Mine uses canned tomatoes Wonder but here's (http://www.ukthermomix.com/recshow.php?rec_id=111) one on the UK forum using fresh.

Judy I had a look at yours and i think that is the thread I remember. I've made up a recipe just roasting the tomatoes with some garlic, olive oil, red onion and salt and pepper and will now cook with some vegetable stock and add some cream. Will see at dinner time if the kids like it or not.
