Hi Allegra21 welcome to the forum!

Welcome Allegra21. I noticed your name when you joined and I'm really pleased that you decided to introduce yourself. How are things going with your thermomix?

Hi everyone, thanks for your replies. I can see this forum is going to be a great way to spend the time that i should be using to sleep :)
I have had my TM about 4 months now and absolutely love it but must admit I am having probs getting things right in the varoma. I'm sure a large amount of trial and error is required but am a mum with two little ones and a work away partner. Same old story.
I find it difficult to get chicken to cook evenly in the varoma base. If some meat is over vents it cooks quickly but the parts not over the vents take longer. Are you supposed to stir it?
I worry about uncooked meat juice dropping down onto rice so often leave my rice on until it goes gluggy just to ensure the chicken is all cooked.
Does anyone hav any advice?
Thanks :D

Welcome to the forum Allegra21. :)
Move your chicken around in the varoma if you think it's not cooking evenly. ;) Be careful of the steam when you remove the lid of the varoma though.

Hello and welcome.

Welcome to the forum Allegra.
Try placing a piece of damp and wrung out baking paper in the base of the varoma and arrange chicken on top. As Cornish Cream suggested move the chicken around half way through cooking. Hope this helps. :)

Welcome to the forum Allegra21. I always cook chicken and fish , in the Varoma, in a dish. I put an egg ring or skewers under the dish so that the steam can circulate. I also add a small amount of liquid to the dish and this forms a sauce. Have fun with your TMX.

I cook a chicken in the bowl sometimes :)
Wecome :)

Welcome Allegra, I don't cook much meat in the varoma.
