I made this for some dinner party guests tonight and it was super easy and everyone loved it.
Very fresh tasting and a touch spicy!
I made a double batch of the sauce while I was at it, so I can quickly steam the rice/quinoa and chicken for dinner again another night!
I didn't have any toasted sesame oil, so just used normal. Tasted ok to me!

Thanks for this, PF - was wondering what to do today with that chicken in the fridge!! ;D This will be it . . . :D

Thanks for the review.

Thanks from me too, PF. We've had szechuan pepper in the spice drawer ever since hosting a Chinese teacher a few years ago. You've helped me use some of it up finally. Thank you!

I made this salad (and some individual frittatas and also the watermelon fetta salad from Quick fix for every occasion) to take to our picnic when we went to a play in the a Botanic gardens. It was delicious and quite substantial. I only used one chilli in the dressing as I worried that it would be too spicy for our teenaged children, but next time I will use both. I bought the correct red rice the second time I went to the Asian Grocery. (The first time I accidentally bought "red yeast rice" which is a fermented rice product). The red rice has a great texture. I still haven't been able to find toasted sesame seed oil, even though I've asked at two different stores. I used a little less ordinary sesame oil with some toasted sesame seeds instead. I would be interested to see if anyone else has found it. Anyway, a delicious, healthy meal that I'll definitely make again. I really love the way thermomix shreds chicken.

Katie found us both a bottle of the toasted sesame oil somewhere here in Adelaide some time back Lelly so it is out there somewhere.

Thanks for that Judy, will keep looking. Made this again, this time with a fresh packet of Szechuan pepper corns and it was even more tasty. (I also had some peppercorns in my drawer for a long time and I think investing in a new pack will be worth it as I will probably make this quit often)(http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15/02/07/0c3d505c95c0c2920b0afdc66a30c62e.jpg)

Toasted sesame seed oil finally found ...at Aldi of all places! Yet to try.

I know I already posted about this recipe last year, but just wanted to add that this is absolutely my go-to recipe for picnic fare. Made again today to have for dinner at our local Surf Life Saving Club. Friend bough another salad and together with Denzelmum's brownies for dessert it was a great meal. I did not plan ahead so cooked the quinoa and red rice separately according to packet instructions rather than soaking overnight and steaming in TMX. Still worked fine, although not quite as convenient. I really love this salad dressing!

I made this for DH to have over 2 nights and the extra 3 serves have been frozen for work meals. He absolutely loved it, said the flavours were amazing.
I had more rice and quinoa left over which I've frozen, but might just reduce the quantities next time. Wonderful recipe. :D
