Well, nausea, cravings, brain no longer functioning properly, etc, etc, have paid off! I went for my 2nd scan yesterday, which showed that my baby is growing well, and has a strong heartbeat. So now I can announce that I'M PREGNANT!!! Yes, at last. And I'm past the high risk bit now, so I can stop keeping quiet about it. We're so thrilled. It's only taken 5 years ;D

Excellent news Caroline, well done. Let's face it, another way we can grow the Thermomix fan base is to breed them!! Enjoy the time ahead. Best wishes, Jane

Thanks so much, everyone. As you can imagine, we're VERY excited and thrilled. I love the continental kisses, Janeezee ;D The due date is 5th February, Thermomixer - so you're very close with your guesses.
My key problem at the moment is to actually make myself eat anything. I can cook - but then I can't face eating it. At least my family are eating well :D .... Or is the key problem that I can't actually get my brain to function? ..... Whatever, I don't care. I'm just happy!

Congrats! Mazletov!
Wonderful news! How many weeks are you then? At least you have THX to help you eat a lovely healthy diet for you and babe!
Enjoy your pregnancy, motherhood is a wonderful experience!

Hopefully the eating will pick up more as you go along - it sure did for me. ;)
And the brain/memory thing is wonderful.. blame pregnancy and then afterwards it's baby brain.. I still have it over 2yrs after my last one! Well that's my story and I'm sticking to it. :P

Hey, I have only been a member of this forum for a week and I am excited for you Caroline! Although we have never met - wish you all the best. This is the first time I have joined a chat group, and I am glad that I have joined this one! I kept a diary with my first baby - kept it for more than three years, and gave it to my daughter for her 21st birthday present. I hope that you enjoy the next months and the joy that your small person will eventually bring you and your family. :)
-
Thank you, Eccles! And what a lovely idea for your daughter ...
-
Congratulations! Babies are wonderful and so much fun.

I am doing this for my grand-children eccles2 - they come out with the funniest things and you soon forget (especially when you get to my age ;)) I just have to remember to make the entries :-)) :-))

something else that you might like to think about.... When your small person is about 5, the vintage port for the year they were born will be released. My first was born in 86 so in 1991 I bought 6 bottles of port (mainly from Victoria and SA), laid it down in the cellar and bought the first bottle out for the 21st - divine! and there is no way I could have bought it in 2007.... She gave her dad a bottle for his 50th birthday and we still have 4 bottles left - wedding, birth of the first grandchild, purchase of first TM!!...
