I downloaded this yesterday.
Love it, has videos as well. To me I think it is worth the momey. It is split into different sections, easy, medium, hard, timing, seasons & fast food, mid week meals, classics, weekend specials etc.
I already have a few on my to do list :)
:)

Sounds good Hally. Do you have to an i pad or phone or can it be down loaded to a computer?

Downloading now... Looked good from what i could see :)

It takes a while to download, or maybe I was impatient :)
-

-
Looks good.. Yum some nice looking recipes 😊
-
Thanks, I will download too.
-
Looking forward to some reviews :)
-
I'm not overalls fond of him so will see what your reviews are like first.
-
Cookie, ate the fowl mouthed man :)
Bought his new book & love it.
The app s great, love the videis, will let you know :)
:)
-
I'm with you cookie, I dislike the man as when I did watch his show on telly (only one show - he was revolting) , I found him to be very insecure and foul mouthed. Why else would you carry on that way? (my opinion!) So must admit if he has his name on anything - I don't buy it.
-
I'm with you nikkit and cookie dislike the man and his foul mouth, so won't be buying.
-
Ditto for me too.... Not a fan at all and I avoid him totally...
-
My DH has suggested that maybe you coukd advise of some better apps Nikkit?
-
Hally, I'm a sucker for cookbooks and I have plenty, so I don't buy apps.
That's my willpower working at its very best! ;D
Plus - who needs apps when we have this fab forum to get recipes off? ;D ;D
-
As a lifetime member of all things cookbook anonymous i buy books, apps, mags you name it.. Some women go to the shoe section of stores first i go to the cookbook section.. Regarding gordon yes he is foul mouthed but the app looks good and i look forward to reviewing some of the recipes... Nobody is perfect people not even you...we can all pretend we are so much better but we all have one or two faults..
-
I think it's one of the better cooking apps with a great format.
Some really good recipes and the videos are great.
Looking forward to cooking many of them :)
Thanks Hally

Frozzie is that true? Only one or two faults? Oh boy I am gunna show that to DH he says I have lots more. Several hundred in fact!
Gert
-
Love it Frozzie! I'm betting there'd be a few people in the lifetime member of cookbooks anon club! ;D
I'm interested in what everyone has to say about his books and apps etc, just don't feel the need to buy them myself.
And perfect - nope not me! Far from it. (although I'd love only one or two faults like Gert! ;D )
And I admit I have done the odd "Gordon Ramsey" before - usually when the horse is in the garden sqashing roses and busting retic, he does make me a bit cross.

;D ;D ;D we all have more than 1 or 2 faults
-
Very true Robyn and we all have more good points than bad.
We are all different and that's what makes life interesting ;)
-
That we do, I actually love Gordon Ramsay :-[, something about him not sure what it is but............. we are all different ;D
-
I don't mind Gordon Ramsey. I think he is all thunder ;) It makes for the ratings.
His language is appalling and a 1 hour show is about it for me - then I want to wash his mouth out with soap.
-
He's probably a little pussycat at home
-
Most of it is likely semi scripted for television. I like him :D

So called swearing does not offend me. It's only words. My father was a wonderful wordsmith a writer, an author a journalist but swore like a trooper. My mother's family were Free Methodist. They took no notice and were very tolerant. My mother was , of course , appalled. My sister and I used to tell her "just chill" it is only words .Taking umbrage at prolific swearing says more about the person offended than the person using what is deemed foul language. My mother was more quietly abusive and offended more people than my father ever did . At 93 she still offends in the nicest possible way. LOL!
Sadly so called foul language is part of the vernacular these days . From kindy to uni we hear it . Intelligent people of all ilks and in all languages use it. I would think it would be a small minority who has not used a socially unacceptable word in company either verbally or mentally.
If people don't like Gordon Ramsey or anyone else they can choose not to listen, look at or have anything to do with them.

You're right Gert, if you don't like the show/language turn the channel (you don't even have to get out of your chair to to do it these days).
I don't like foul language - so what does that say about me? - I don't like foul language!! Just because it has become common use doesn't make it acceptable.

Exactly right ! Most people are socially aware and modify their language to suit but if they don't we can choose to say something or walk away. Either will work. We can choose to take offence at the word or the person or just ignore both.
There are a lot more serious things in this life to worry about.

So true, which I have found out in the last week.
-
Hope all is ok jen...
Dont like consistent foul language but a word here and there i find normal enough and doesnt bug me...watching a film however where every second word is foul swearing so to speak i find a waste of a film and pointless watching it... You can get your point across quite easily if you use your brain.. Like everything in life there is a middle. Ground.. A little bit of anything never hurt anyone :)
-
I'm not a fan of the man with the corrugated iron forehead, but if the app's good, I'll buy it.
I agree with you, Gert. Most often, I find that people who rarely swear make a huge impact when they do!! I very rarely swear out loud, but when I do, everyone stops what they're doing and comes to find out what's wrong... :D
-
Interesting discussion. Made me realise that I haven't any of his cookbooks. Don't know why. Not the language that has put me off. Must look next time I am in Readings. Might look at the app.
-
I've watched the show on Fox and found it to be very good. I like the app too. A lot of very basic tips, but some good 'chefy' ones too.

Had the steak dianne with sauteed potatoes, really really delicious, enjoyed by all. :)
