It's been a while since I was active on a forum. An old friend recommended this one, saying you're all very friendly ;)
I've had Thermie for nearly a year and I couldn't imagine life without him. We spend a great deal of time together, particularly on the weekends when we create some wonderful treats together!
Since Thermie came into my life I've discovered the wonders of alternatives to wheat and creating from scratch. I now have a pantry full of organic goodies, I love cooking with coconut flour and recently started to explore cooking with banana flour. I'm trying to cut out grains (gluten) and processed white sugar in an attempt to reverse the diabetes path I'm on. This has meant some big changes but also a lot of fun as I learn about using alternatives to processed sugar like coconut nectar.
So here I am, ready to dive in and continue to learn lots about cooking with Thermie and also pick up some hints, tips and new recipes!
Oh and I love following Quirky Cooking and get a lot of inspiration from Jo's recipes :)

Hello londees and welcome. I love quirky Jo's too. Have you tried her chicken with cashews and coconut rice? It's a favourite of mine. Love her cacao balls too.

Hello londees, welcome to the forum. It sounds as if we might be getting some different recipes heading our way from your kitchen. Glad to hear you are so happy with your Thermomix.

Thanks for the wonderful welcome :)
I'm a big fan of Quirky Jo's all in one meals and have at least one every week. The chicken and cashew one is my favourite.
I'll have to work my way around the forum and share some of my favourite recipes :) Lately I've been focussed on pastry (not gluten free but fun to work with!), here's a pic of some beef pies I made the other weekend. Short crust pastry from the EDC, 'Aussie meat pie' filling and iced rough puff pastry top.
