Title: Using up condensed mlk
Post by: droverjess on February 13, 2013, 11:22:19 am
Using up condensed milk? Any suggestions please?

Almost a full tin opened by DS to go with pancakes yesterday.

We are back to fierce budgeting so it needs to be a good but not extravagant recipe using lots of expensive ingredients.

Thanks so much xx

How about Apricot Coconut Delight (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=11877.0)

Cookies & Cream Fudge (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=5062.0)

Ice-cream recipes a plenty but probably too cold over there for that at the moment.

Thanks, we made lots of this fudge at Xmas. It was good.
Don't think the other one would suit family tastes. One hates fruit, the other coconut!!!!!

Actually when I think about it DJ, it seems to keep for ever in the fridge anyway so there is no hurry or need to use it up.

I freeze it in the tin.  On my. Blog there are 2 biscuit recipes that use sw. Con milk.   One is coffee and the other Apricot.  They are called Fudge but. Are biscuits.  You. Cut them into very small cubes.

Coleslaw dressing is what I meant to say.

Also some icecream recipes in here have it too.

As a kid I loved to eat it by the spoonful. Mum used it for her coffee. It is no wonder I have a weight problem, some of the things I loved to eat.

My mum use to give it to me in a bottle (mixed with water) when I was a baby - and that was on her Dr's advice!!  :o :D
