Title: Belated hello!

Hey there everyone,

I bought my thermie about 3 months ago and have been stalking this very helpful website for a little while, so thought I should jump in and say thanks for all the helpful info I've gained so far.

I had a little demo on delivery of my thermie (did the custard) and attended a cooking class prior to purchase, but most of what I've learned has been off this site  :)

Just one question for now: can somebody tell me the difference between cooking at 100C and at varoma temp?

Varoma temp is 120oC I think keggers.

Hi and welcome to the forum.  Glad you have been helped in your early days - it is a great site, if the answer isn't here, someone will find it for you.  Do let us know what you think of our recipes, we have a review section so would appreciate some feed back.

Hi Keggers and welcome!
You use the Varoma temperature when steaming as 100cC isn't hot enough to ensure the steam heats the food enough :)
