Hi
I have been making the Hommus from the recipe in the EDC (also making my own tahini paste from the vegetarian cookbook) and find that it tastes really bitter. I suspect it is due to the tahini paste, has anyone else had this issue? If I use bought tahini paste it is not bitter. Should I toast the sesame seeds first?
look forward to any thoughts/suggestions!
thanks

Here is another thread on the tahini, coopes. I've never made the tahini so I'm no help there . . I can only guess the commercial tahini has other things in it . . .

Thanks for the help. I am new to this and could not figure out how to find the link, glad I am not that hopeless :)
Unfortunately the link does not work, it says it is no longer available, perhaps I am not doing something correctly??

Thanks everyone, I have now managed to find it, I was not clicking in the right spot!!!! I will give this a go and use the vegetable oil instead of the grapeseed and see if this makes a difference.
