That is cheap. Is that the same one as the one that comes in red (which is the step down model)?

Sorry nomidea
But thank you, that cooking shop in Mandurah is fantastic :)
-
I know it is really good. I try not to go there too often it is that good lol!!
-
Yes, same brand but this retails normally from $129-$169.
Has the removable stone (red maker doesn't) and bonus insert.....which if you don't make frittata's in it, use it for a quick way for grilling & toasting rolls etc.
-
I have wanted that for so long but haven't ever brought it because of cost. Is that a reputable company?
-
Gosh that is cheap.
We've had ours for years and is great.
-
Oh well I brought it. Too cheap to miss out on. Dh is going to kill me lol.
-
I would like one, but our miele oven makes perfect pizzas.
Woukd be good for self catering holidays, maybe at the price 8)
Why do I want one ??? Probably because everyone else has one :o
Medusa, yes lots of great things there, the boys were happy eating & I was happy shopping :)
-
When I went back to look for your link I was looking on the shopping thread, Maddy . . sorry!!
Have just ordered it. Thanks!! :D
-
That's very cheap I paid $129 for mine use it every week love it
-
Why oh why do I live in nz?? They are nz$250!!! (That's for the red model)
-
OK, besides pizza what else could I do?
:)
-
Oh Hally ;D ;D ;D
-
Hally, frittatas, Bread, foccacias ect...
-
I just ordered one :D
Will give my red one to one of my kids.
Like the removable stone which red one doesn't have ;)
-
That's a bargain!
-
Fingers were just starting then dh came home :(
Nice to see him, but sprung again.
A bit like today, cp sad shall we ring dad, I SAID NOOOO NOT WHILE I AM IN A KITCHEN SHOP.
-
that's a good price, i don't need one, I don't need one, I don't need one :-\
-
Too funny Hally. I completely understand :o
I don't NEED one either. Where would I store it? Mmmmm
Mind you, my new BBQ is supposed to make good pizzas, so maybe I should start there....
-
OK, besides pizza what else could I do?
:)
For those who remember Wind in the Willows . . . and Toad sitting in the middle of the road almost hypnotised by the big car that just roared by , , , ?? ;D ;D ;D
Oh Hally - I thought you already had one . .! ;D
-
You don't need one Hally, your BBQ makes perfect pizzas - more than 1 at a time too ;)
-
My miele oven can do amazing pizzas & my bbq.
But frittatas, yum
-

When stuff arrives thats OK, just when purchasing, now wheres that going to go, you alredy have 2 ktchens full, plus a harry potter cupboard & now using home theatre room. ??? Gee it would be nice to sit in there :)
-
What's a Harry Potter cupboard Hally - I've never seen the movies or read the books so be gentle on me ;D
-
Fingers were just starting then dh came home :(
Nice to see him, but sprung again.
A bit like today, cp sad shall we ring dad, I SAID NOOOO NOT WHILE I AM IN A KITCHEN SHOP.
LOL !!!! Oh dear!!!!
-
Its a very large cupboard that goes under the stairs. Most houses have these in some shape or form in the UK. Naturally we have a huge one as our stairs turn, its full of dare I say, food & kitchen stuff :o
Actually, nw thinkng straight might buy a porable webber, they look god to take away, can do roasts & pizzas & dh wont have to clean other peoples mess up. What a good idea H :)
-
Hally, you think too much and everytime you think it cost money :D :D :-* :-*
-
Hally, you think too much and everytime you think it cost money :D :D :-* :-*
No your toooooo fuuunnnyy JD ;D
-
my new BBQ is supposed to make good pizzas, so maybe I should start there....
WeberQ makes great pizza. Just need a basic pizza stone.
-
I have pIzza stones :)
Then I would have 4 yes 4 bbqs ???
-
Once our BBQ area finished off and we have nearly oerfected the woodfire oven we may need to have a TM pizza night with long suffering hubbies? Yes, sorry that's such a good idea it's not a question :-))
-
OK I've ordered one too - my oven is hopeless at making pizzas, have been thinking about getting one for a while. The dangers of working from home.... too much opportunity to shop online!
I have a harry potter cupboard too, lots of wine in there but I'm sure I could make room for a new appliance!
-
I prefer square pizzas so I am not even going to look at it. No I am not.
Gert
-
I got that one just before Christmas from Peters of Kensington for $140 and I thought that was a good price! for that price I'm tempted to get another one......
-
Oh dear maddy why oh why would you post this... Im going to have to try and resist lol.. Dh would kill me!!
-
Oh dear maddy why oh why would you post this... Im going to have to try and resist lol.. Dh would kill me!!
So are youuuuuuu :)
-
Judging from the others, Frozzie, I don't think you'll regret it. Tell DH it's way under half price.. Too good an opportunity to miss!! ;). (I've just ordered one :). )
-
NO NO NO .
-
Dont know.. Dh has been lecturing me non stop for a week lol.. I bought pizza stones but you can only fit two at once so lol.. Will think for a bit..
-
tempted ;D
-
Get it Obbie. With kids you will use it all the time.
-
You should.. I would as we normally do three pizzas... Two in oven on stones and the other one has to wait so would be great then could do all at once...but ended up mentioning to dh and he said great deal but not the best time..And i have to admit he is right.. its very cheap but one thing plus another as they say all adds up.. So ill be good and have to pay more for it later down the track.. :(
-
Pity your birthday is so far off Kim - you could have asked your parents to buy you one for your birthday ;)
-
True and we could also just get it but best to wait until we get the job situation sorted out... We will have so much to buy when we get a house down the track and are of course still paying our mortgage overseas.. Just being good!
-
Hope you sell your house soon Kim.
-
Kim, not good paying a mortgage on a house overseas. Any interested people?
-
Some but the problem is anyone interested cant get an apt with the banks before new year so we were told.. Hopefully things will pick up from now... We are lucky we have friends and a neighbour also watching the house..its a bAd time to sell .. Economic crisis in europe and its getting worse, winter and the banks just arent loaning out money but we are getting more visits than others.. We have heard of some who arent getting any visits at all so we are grateful for the trickle of ppl we have coming through the house..crossing everything lol that it will sell soon... The agents seem more positive than we are but the market is slow..
-
Fingers crossed :)
When this is sold, will you buy here :)
What does dh do for a job?
Thinking of buying the frittaa machine ;D ;D ;D
-
Thinking of buying the frittaa machine ;D ;D ;D
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
H's frittata machine has been ordered :)
Good pans cost more, now to the webber Q, mmmm might have to look at that for next domestic trip at the end of the year :)
Of course if anyone sees a bargain :D
Off to the gym for light exercise :)
Family trip :)
-
Fingers crossed :)

You should buy it.. I would just need to be good as dont know how long we are going to be in limbo so for the first time in a long time im being good 😛

MF I am far safer during the school term -
Yes, that rings true here too!
it was purely a community service announcement
LOL! -keep 'em coming please!
-
;D Thanks Maddy for being such a community minded person!
I just bought one for our house in Albany. I left it down there and am missing it already! (despite the fact that I have a bad cut on the inside of my little finger from the handle on the stone)
-
OMG.. I just found this thread. And they are still on special.
I have the red one as it came free with my TC and we use it a lot but I have always wanted one with the removable stone and the extra height.
BUT. I don't think i can justify another gadget for a little while.
My Christmas gifts to me were a matching Red toaster and electric jug. (free using points from my credit card)
and an electric tagine and a DeLonghi Automatic Coffee machine for my birthday.
I gave my daughter one of the Kogan ThermoBlend's and a stand mixmaster.

Go for it Rosie ... If anyone deserves it its you!!!

I've just seen this. That's less than 1/2 what my husband paid when he bought mine 3 years ago!
What a bargain - just a shame I don't need one.
-
Rosie, easy to justufy for you. So much easier for you to make a quick pIzza for gs, cooks bread & my fav frittatas :)
I wonder who will get theres first :)
Hopefully they will all come next week.
Looking forward to some good frittata recipes :)
I love frittata but have never made it ??? No pan, but now my frittata machine is on its way :). Lots of them :)
H :)
-
Actually, I've just ordered one. :-[
Decided that my daughter might like one in her share house. She keeps threatening to move back home, so I'm happy to bribe her to stay where she is! ;D
-
Good thinking Amanda :D :D
-
Just waiting for my Oz Harvest to arrive, Jeninwa. Hope it comes soon along with the " frittata maker" ;). Thanks for the recommendation!

;D ;D Do you have one of your own, Amanda? You might just end up with two! Great for pizza parties . . . ;D ;D
-
Yes - I've had one for about 3 years and love it to bits. It has paid for itself over and over again.
Daughter seems pleased that she is to get one.
-
Pizza oven just arrived . . . have some pizza bases in the freezer so might give it a go later today. :D
-
Lucky you GF ;D
Mine will take a bit longer coming to WA I think .
-
Have fun with your new pizza oven GF. Little tip turn it on earlier in the day, I think you have to leave it on for a while so then tonight you can go straight to cooking our pizzas. Remember to use oven mits to open and close as it gets very hot.
-
It might be all you feel like cooking in the heat GF.
-
Many thanks for that Yvette - appreciate all the advice I can get . . :-*
-
It might be all you feel like cooking in the heat GF.
Yes, that crossed my mind, Mcmich . . no way I'm even touching the stove today. I've just been outside moving plants around out of the sun and making sure the chooks have plenty of water etc. I'll keep an eye on them and if it gets too bad I'll bring them inside - It's ghastly out there especially if you're in the sun! Didn't quite expect it to be so hot so early in the day!
-
How many chooks will you need to bring in the house GF? I can imagine that would cause some chaos. ;D
-
GF, that was quick, a few days :)
Mine will be here this week I am hoping, so I can whip up a frittata :)
:)

GF I found this to be the case with mine. Enjoy your pizzas
Marie
-

Just two ;D Might just put loads of newspaper down in either the laundry or the small bathroom . .Would prefer not to, but can't leave them to cook! The dogs are practising being floor rugs! Out for the count as they say!
-
Well the bathroom or laundry will be nice cool for them.
-
Well the bathroom or laundry will be nice cool for them.
certainly don't need to now . .sun's disappeared and it's cooler and they're best outside . . ;D
-
Gf that is exciting. I think we ordered on the same day mine has further to go so will be interesting how long it takes to get to WA
-
I think I was he last order my frittaa maker ;D
-
Ok have a question for those with the pizza ovens. When you make your own dough do you dress the dough raw and then cook or do you cook the dough a little and then dress and cook again??
-
It is, Medusa . . . have unpacked it ( . . . and read the instructions!! ;D ) but it's been so blessedly hot today. I think it'll be for lunch tomorrow when it's just a wee bit cooler . . Hope yours arrives soon!
-
You dress the raw dough and cook it medusa.
-
Ok have a question for those with the pizza ovens. When you make your own dough do you dress the dough raw and then cook or do you cook the dough a little and then dress and cook again??
I've only ever dressed the raw dough. Medusa.
Thanks for the confirmation, Judy! I wasn't too sure I was doing the right thing there for a moment.
Just as I was typing this reply the computer decided to reboot itself - TV has also lost reception/signal. Hope it's not bedtime by candlelight tonight!! ;D
-
Mine hasn't arrived yet....
-
Get the candles out and be prepared GF ;D
-
Lol Judy .. Have done and also torches lined up. Probably keeping the elephants off Pitt Street - but you can never be too careful ;)
-
Elephants and pitt st youve lost me lol!!
-
Lol.. An old saying... When you do something and "it's kept the elephants
off Pitt Street" simply means you have proof that it works... You don't see any elephants on Pitt Street (a very busy Main Street in Sydney CDB) do you ?? ;-)
-
Yes i know pitt st lol used to work at the rocks for a number of years and was often shopping or doing something in and around pitt and george streets.. The saying is obviously before my time.. Never heard of it 😄😄😄
-
Mine arrived today.... I was hoping it would, had nothing planned for dinner! I've heated it up to season as suggested and been reading all the threads I can find about pizza machines - bit worried about dough sticking to the paddles, I've had that problem before. Wish me luck!
Apart from the metal paddles, mine also came with a wooden pizza board and a pizza cutter. Did you get those too goldfish?
-
I've only used mine once since I bought it - we never did have many pizzas before and the machine hasn't changed that except they work out better for me. I prepared mine on a silicon liner and just picked that up and plopped it onto the hot stone. It did leave a black ring around the edge but I still use it to line trays. I think the baking paper burns a bit too - who uses that method?
-
Apart from the metal paddles, mine also came with a wooden pizza board and a pizza cutter. Did you get those too goldfish?
No deedub - only the metal paddles - Did you order from the link that Maddy gave? It's ok though as I already had the board and the cutter. I wonder why there are differences though , , ,
-
Yes, I ordered from the tvsn site in maddy's link. Strange - maybe it depends on where it was despatched from? I'm sorry you didn't get them too gf, they look very nice.
-
Was not home when the delivery arrived so need to pick up from PO :)
-
JD I use baking paper and it does burn a bit.
-
Don't you hate waiting for something. I am hanging around waiting just incase it comes lol!!
-
....I actually don't know if it is the pizza oven or another online purchase that has almost worn out
my DH's shhhhhhhhh credit card (http://www.sherv.net/cm/emoticons/shocked/surprised-smiley-emoticon.gif) (http://www.sherv.net/surprised-emoticon-1678.html)
-
;D ;D ;D
-
I just ordered mine. Thanks for the link Maddy. :-* :)
-
JD I use baking paper and it does burn a bit.
I ude baking paper as well and yes, it does burn. I've been turning the heat down a little and letting the pizza's take a little longer to cook - they seem to cook better and the paper doesn't burn quite so much.
-
I just put pizza straight onto the stone
-
I just put my pizza's onto the stone too. We've only had a couple stick. I think I read in the instructions that the stones are seasoned with more use and the stains that it develops are part of the seasoning process...I think i read that, maybe I dreamed it :-\
But mine has only made about 12 pizzas so I can't comment on whether or not it works!
-
It's heeeeeerrreeeee!!!! Now, what can I make for lunch tomorrow?????!!!!!
I got the board and cutter too which is nice.
-
Yes Jamberie, you did read that about the seasoning of the stone - mine got grotty the first and only time I used it and I had my pizzas on a liner so I was rather surprised. I like clean things so I was disappointed it became dirty looking but hey, if that helps makes the pizzas taste better, who am I to complain.
-

I understand completely Judy....would you believe I threw out my regular pizza stone (for the oven/bbq) because it got dirty and I could'n't get the marks off!? It was only since reading the instructions on the pizza maker did I realise that it was ok :D
-
Just reading some of the recipes in the pamphlet that comes with the machine I've noticed a lot of them suggest you lift just the dough onto the stone and then add the toppings. This might help with some of those issues regarding the pizza being difficult to move from the bench to the oven. Hope that helps.
-
Keep looking at this. Think I want one. Hubby says noooo..... Cant look, must look. Mmmm what to do!!!
-
Keep looking at this. Think I want one. Hubby says noooo..... Cant look, must look. Mmmm what to do!!!
One of the reasons I love the machine is that DH makes the pizzas...would your DH be keen if it was "his"? Maybe you could buy it for him as a gift.....like an 86month [insert own date here] wedding anniversary ;D
-
Great idea jamberie. Yes he would and does make pizzas on a regular basis. Problem is we have a pizza stone we use in the oven and he can't wont justify getting a pizza oven when we have the stone already. But I know we would love a pizza oven. Might just sit on it for a little while.
-
Be very careful not to break the pizza stone Kimmyh! (wink wink, nudge nudge!)
Then you would have to buy the pizza oven! ;) ;) ;D ;D
-
Just bought one if these ad an engagement present for a friend's daughter - I have one and kids use it heaps!

The pizza oven makes a far superior pizza when compared with the stone. You will never get your oven hot enough to get the lovely crunch to the base that these little wonders can, you can have them on, heated up & pizza's cooked in a fraction of the time it takes to do in the oven, far, far cheaper to run than heating up the oven, able to use them on stinking hot days when it's too hot to turn the oven on, will pay for itself within 10-15 gourmet pizza's.
I think it's time to point out that he is labouring under a very false economy! ;) ;)
Just sayin'.
-
Keep looking at this. Think I want one. Hubby says noooo..... Cant look, must look. Mmmm what to do!!!
Kimmy I have pizza stones & an oven that cooks perfect pizzas on an intense bake feature, I ordered it for frittatas & also to take away on holidays :)
Hope mine comes soon :)
H :)
-
I agree Amanda they do make better pizzas and save a lot on power.
I used to use pizza stones but the pizza oven is way better.
I use a pan to make my frittata's and then finish it off in the oven using the preheated grill
Works a treat :D
-
My new black one just arrived. Will unpack soon ;D
Maybe I will keep my red one too, will see
-
I don't understand why anyone would ask Hubby, just buy it ;D
Then add to the shopping thread.
-
Snap Robyn ;D
-
Yeh, did he ask you when he came home from Bunnings with that new tool?
-
we don't ask each other at all about shopping.
just buy it..... ;D ;D
-
That's exactly what we do, no asking each other we just buy :D
-
Thanks MamaFergie, glad I am normal...
-
We are definately normal Robyn ;D
I wouldn't want it any other way.
DH just bought a set of Greg Norman golf clubs for GS aged 9. ;D ;D ;D
-
Yeah mine came and the kids want me to cook a dessert pizza first. The one in the book looks ok. Nutella and carmelised banana. I got the pizza board too
-
Me three! We are old enough!!!!
-
we talk about buying say a car, but nothing else... ;D ;D
Yes I am old enough, can't wait for my birthday this year.... :)
-
Last year it was the competitor product... What is it going to be this year?
-
how much is the pizza oven
-
$69 + postage from TVSN Robyn.... Looks like there is a board on top of the box. Wrapped in green plastic. No time to open :)
-
why haven't I found this site before
-
everton online have 10% off all weekend with TENOFF as a code
-
Just arrived home and opened my new pizza oven box :D
Yes I got the pizza board, pizza cutter and the metal paddles.
I am very pleased with the new machine it looks good ;D
Will try it out on Sunday :)
-
.....same as above for me!!!! (http://www.smileyvault.com/albums/userpics/10404/t2021.gif) (http://www.smileyvault.com/)
-
I'm sure you'll love your new toy.... I certainly do!!! Thanks again, Maddy, for the heads up!!
-
Be very careful not to break the pizza stone Kimmyh! (wink wink, nudge nudge!)
Then you would have to buy the pizza oven! ;) ;) ;D ;D
Love it great idea. Just drop the stone ;)
Yeah I really want one now. Think I will buy it for his birthday in April. Thanks for the not so subtly advice girls. Need a push in the right direction every now and then ;)
-
An awe inspiring birthday gift, Kimmy! He'll love it! Why not secretly stash a pile of pizza bases (from the forum) in the freezer ready for the big birthday bash!! ;)
-
Great idea goldfish.
-
After all it is a family gift that he will enjoy!
-
Hoping mine comes next week :)
-
Will pm you later the frittata recipe you asked about Hally. The book arrived this week but haven't had a chance to do anything from it yet.
-
Thanks GF :)
-
After all it is a family gift that he will enjoy!
Yes you are right.
So I have news!!! Boys and I sat DH down this morning and watched you tube video then raved for an hour on how good you girls have said it is. Then the clincher.... Oh do you know it does frittatas that you love! That was it he couldn't resist and we bought one. Yeah, you guys are awesome. Happy dancing rest of day ;D
-
Hoorah Kim - good thinking to throw in the frittata line. Now you have the wait for delivery. I'm so impatient. :)
-
Me too. Keep thinking I would have it by now if I bought it last week :)
-
Poor guy didn't even have a chance!!!! Lol. You'll love it Kimmy ... And so will the rest of your family!!!! Well done!! :)
-
Thanks GF for all the help.
Yep DH no good when DS5 and DS4 are pushing for it too!
-
Lots of yummy pizzas coming your way Kimmyh ;D
Well done
-
Well done Kimmy :). Of course the boys would want ine, all boys love pizza :)
I told my dh I bought a fritata machine, he said "oh something different thats good", just got to hide the words pizza, lol or he will freak :o
-
Well you are not lying Hally it is a Fritatta machine that can also make pizzas ;)
-
Well you are not lying Hally it is a Fritatta machine that can also make pizzas ;)
;D ;D
-
You girls crack me up, the things you do to get what you want. :D
Enjoy your pizzas Kimmy.
Hally, I'd hide the pizza stone for a while until DH gets used to the idea and you had better whip up a frittata pretty quickly to prove it was a worthwhile purchase. I'm sure you will come up with some delicious frittata combinations in the future.
-
Yes it is funny Judy, maybe a little sad, but you do what you need to do to have harmony. It's just finding a way to get what you want without the arguments and hassles. We love our men but they are a little precious at times ;)
-
That's it Kimmyh women do it for world peace ;D
-
;D ;D
-
Wow....hasn't this thread flourished and taken some interesting twists :D
frittata machine ? Love it Hally :P.....bit of black tape will cover the "pizza" word ;)
-
I can remember when our old TV just went on and on and on. DH was attached to that one and didn't want to get rid of it before it carked it. One day we heard a large pop come from the set and it died a sudden death before our eyes - it scared the daylights out of me then the applause broke out :D That was back in the days when I encouraged DH to make decisions about larger purchases - it doesn't happen anymore, he has no interest in money these days.
-
Well you know, I started looking at this thread about 4 days ago. I thought, "Oh well, this will be sold out or the special deal finished" by now. What a surprise when I looked yesterday and saw it was still on sale and still available. So, I was good and slept on it for one more night but just had to buy it today. That price is just too good.
My hubby will flip as well but .... mehh! Whatever! LOL! He'll love the pizzas. ;)
-
My hubby will flip as well but .... mehh! Whatever! LOL! He'll love the pizzas. ;)
Love it!!
-
Wow how many of us have bought this thanks to maddy's excellent bargain hunting detective work? Must be getting up to double figures😉.
So impressed with the crust, I've never been satisfied with the results from the pizza stone in the oven.
-
Even though I already had one of these machines, I think its great that Maddy the supershoppingsleuth has managed to find a better price
-
And shared with us.
-
Thanks Maddie
-
Can someone measure the stone and tell me the size of the stone please ;)
-
30.5 cm diameter Meagan.
-
Thanks JD ;)
-
The wait is just killing me. Hoping it arrives today.
-
Girls hope your pizza ovens arrive soon and those that have arrived hope you are enjoying them. We use ours every week :)
-
So do I, dying to make frittata ;D
-
For those of you that have this.
Can you do deep pan piza where you push the dough up the sides?
Jamie has a lovely looking one on his app.
-
mine should come next week
-
Its here, i have told cp that pizza is srt of another name for frittatas, lol, he knows the oven does a great job.
My quiches will now be a frittata :)
I have a cutter & a board & 2 weird looking 1/2 circle things ???
-
They are for putting pizza onto the hot stone and for lifting it out when cooked.
I have wooden ones from my other pizza machine and they don't get hot but haven't tried the new ones yet.
-
Don't forget girls turn your pizza machine on first earlier in the day as instructions say and don't forget to use oven mitts when opening and closing ;)
-
Thanks MF :)
Yvette all seasoned :)
Just sauting veg & bacon in the frittata maker to make a frittata.
Just using what we have in the house atm :)
-
Mine has just arrived. Woohoo!!! Now to read the instructions as I am clueless about pizza ovens!
-
It is very easy Chelsea :) :) You will be fine :)
-
Word of warning though....ale sure you're wearing oven mitts when handling the hot oven
When you're checking your pizza or ready to remove it from the oven stand to the back of the oven and then lift lid toward you.... There's a lot of steam let loose when you open the oven and you'll want your arm over the lid rather than exposed to the escaping steam. Hope that makes sense!!
-
Frittata nearly done.
Have naan bread nearly ready to go. What setting & how long?
-
Not sure of setting Hally I think Judy cooked hers for 9 minutes
-
Cooked it for a little too long, sigh, lerning, 1st attempt
Main issue, how to get it out without it breaking up
Morning tea
(http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/01/16/guvy3uje.jpg)
-
Looks good for first attempt Hally.
Can I ask what naan bread recipe you use as I want to make some this afternoon ?
-

-
Yes a little iver done.
Chookies naan on here, do it in the oven all the time.
What temp & time will you do?
-
Oh well never mind still looks ok though
-
For naan bread, I think I used 2 1/2 temp for about 5 mins, cooked 2 at a time. I think chookie posted her method in the electric pizza maker thread?
-
I have 2 in now at temp 2 for 4 mins, first batch 5 mins.
Thanks Deedub, having fun :)
-
2 on left 5 mins, 2 on right 4 mins, both setting 2
I seem to have an area where it catches, anyone else have this?
-
Great naan bread Hally.
No delivery today :(
Fingers crossed it comes tomorrow :)
-
So I bought two (one for a gift) and only paid the one postage fee ;) win win!
-
I made some awesome pizzas for tea. I used the EDC recipe (with less salt) and make 4 medium sized pizzas. I thought it would be a pain only cooking one at a time but they cooked up in no time. It was actually good to have some cooler pieces for the kids anyway. Our first couple cooked too quickly and I think I will cook them at '2' from now on. I love my machine. Thanks again Maddy. :-*
-
Well done Chelsea.
-
Well done Chelsea, yes it cooks much quicker than you think :o
-
I made the dessert pizza in the incl cookbook. The Nutella/banana and brown sugar one. Great hit here. I didn't eat it as I can't eat gluten but even my non dessert loving hubby enjoyed it.

I saw that one & thought great for when kids come over :)
-
So Hally, can I ask if you are happy with your purchase?? Like you, having the meile oven do such perfect pizzas, I am a bit reluctant to buy another kitchen gadget ........

Am having a brain freeze. Which cookbook is it in? Am hoping I have it because I would love to make a dessert pizza tonight.
-
It's in the book that came with the black pizza maker Chelsea - let me know if you want it.
-
Oh duh! Thanks JD. I just found it in the book and will give it a go tonight. :)
-
My PC cookbook just arrived now.
Thanks GF for sending me the link ;D
Will cook something from the book on Saturday as have ordered mussels for tonight and going out tomorrow night and Sunday.
-
Found this in my pantry, along with a load more recipe books, lol
I guess this will get a good workout now:)

Yes loving it, does fantastic flatbreads :) havent done pizza, maybe next week, will do one in the oven & one in the machine & compare :)
-
:o :o My finger slipped on the button this afternoon, and I bought one :o :o
-
Maybe we could start a list of people who have bought a pizza machine after reading this forum (OMG such cult like behaviour!) :o
Jamberie, Halex (frittata maker ;) ), Karen (frittata/flatbread maker ;) ), Chelsea, Goldfish, Mama Fergie, Obbie, Deedub, Meagan (x2!), Medusa, Johnro, Kimmy, Judy, KatieJ, Cookie, O4aTimtam, Brumington, kt2, Amanda, meganjane...
So that's 20+!
-
Goldfish... :)
-
Mama Fergie ;D
-
Goldfish... :)
Mama Fergie ;D
Added :)
-
Obbie bought one this week as well :)
-
yes, I bought one on Tuesday, should arrive next week
-
Me
-
Meagan bought 2! And didn't johnro get one?
-
How many of you were surprised at the weight of the machine? I was expecting it to be a lot heavier.
-
Me too!!!!

Yes, I was expecting it to be much heavier...my little donut machine is heavier...do I need to add your name too Judy?
I just remembered, Hally's is a fritata maker so I'm not sure her name should be on the list ;)
-
No Jamberie, I bought mine last time this forum spoke about it ;)
-
I bought one too. Still hasn't arrived yet :(
-
No Jamberie, I bought mine last time this forum spoke about it ;)
That counts Judy because I originally said forumnot thread (getting technical).....I bought mine when you did then, but I just had to wait til Christmas to open it!
I bought one too. Still hasn't arrived yet :(
Added!
-
I bought one last year too, around the same time as JD.
We love it :)
-

This is funny.....and imagine how many lurkers guests there are too!
-
...... And didn't johnro get one?
.......sure did - was another one of those finger slipping things or was it that an order confirmation arrived in my inbox - same result - mine arrived last Thursday - had the best pizzas on weekend which fed a house full of visitors (http://www.sherv.net/cm/emoticons/eating/eating-pizza.gif) (http://www.sherv.net/eating.pizza-emoticon-1183.html)
Like you, having the meile oven do such perfect pizzas,........
....but I bought one anyway besides it is quicker than the oven = less electricity (in case DH reads over my shoulder!!!!)
-
How many of you were surprised at the weight of the machine? I was expecting it to be a lot heavier.
I was very surprised how light it is as my Italian red one is so much heavier.
Love the frittata insert too :)
-
Well done Karen, interesting to see the pizza difference :)
Also great for self catering holidays :)
-
Gosh I want one, but I promised I wouldn't buy another appliance after I bought my pressure cooker :-)) Big mistake!
-
I am tempted, but the pizza stone and my oven do good ones, but does take quite a while to heat up. Decisions, decisions....
-
Don't procrastinate too long Bonsai, that special offer may not last much longer and then you'd kick yourself if you missed out.
-
Do I count? I've had mine for some time though. But I'm still an owner of one.
Who said a cult? I think we just know what is good. :) :) :)
-
Okay Maddy, you win ... just placed the order, have been resisting as hard as I could (but the wine has made me weak). I got the pie maker on goodness knows whose recommendation (thanks :-*), and hubby now makes up pies with leftovers and freezes them, so we have our own "fast food" when we need it. I'm sure he will be happy with this too. Keh, whats another appliance?!!
PS The Delisio Pizza place at the food hall upstairs at EnEx 100 (100 St Georges Terrace, above Greenhouse on the Terrace, or opposite Target on the Mall) for Perthites does the best Mushroom Trio pizza - topped with ricotta. Yum yum.
Obviously thats why I bought the new machine, to save us the $6 for a huge slice. Naturally its all about the economy :-)
TimTam x ;D
-
Buy one bonsai - if you eat pizza they are brilliant. This price is a bargain. Make 3-4 pizzas and its FREE :D or in tim tams case only 2 = happy days
-
Bonsai, I was torn as have a miele oven & pizza stones.
I love it, received it wednesday & used it straight away & yesterday, cooking flatbreads are amazing :)
For the price.....
H :)
-
Ok you sold me! I think the added benefits of flatbread and frittata is a winner. If I don't use it as much as I think I might it could go with DD when she moves out later this year 😢
-
Add another one to the list!!! Lol. I'm sure you'll enjoy it, bonsai
-
I think Amanda already had one, but bought a second one ........ maybe she needs to go on the list too ;D
By the way, I think mine needs to be a frittata/flatbread maker too ;)
-
Hally what recipe do use for flatbreads? I think I need to make some today
-
Not sure if this is the one you're after. Medusa. I remember Hally saying that you had to roll the dough fairly thin so as to avoid the element. If I remember where I saw it, I'll post the thread here . . . .
http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=12364.0
-
Thank you GF I will try that one for my family!
-
Yep, I'm on that list too.
-
Mmmm, me too! I tried to be strong but then saw the magic words "limited stock" and quickly bought one!! :D :D
Mine is also a frittata/flatbread maker! ;)
-

;D ;D ;D - Well done, Jamberie!! A round of applause for the "vendor" and it's "agent" (are you there, Maddy??)
BTW Has anyone found the most efficient way of cleaning the stone?
-
;D ;D ;D - Well done, Jamberie!! A round of applause for the "vendor" and it's "agent" (are you there, Maddy??)

hahaha, I wish! ;D;D;D;D;D
-
We don't really clean it just give it a scrape adds to the flavour
-
I was hoping someone would say that, Yvette!! ;D ;D
-
We don't really clean it just give it a scrape adds to the flavour
The instructions say that this is part of the "seasoning" process, sounds good enough to me :)
-
;D ;D
-
Have pizza pockets been discussed? Am thinking they would be too high to do on the stone but am wondering about in the dish???
-
BTW Has anyone found the most efficient way of cleaning the stone?
You Don't ;).....just scrape off any bits. I use a tilers metal scraper, and do it outside, then wipe over with a dry paper towel.
The blacker it gets, the better....it's fully seasoned then, and you'll find less sticks.
I'll take a pic of mine soon and show you :)
-
Thanks Maddy ... Mine looks like some abstract art reject ;)
-
My 2 pizza stones look like they shoud be thrown out, ;D ;D >:(
My new machine is dirty too :)
-
Just well seasoned, Hally!!!:)
-
If there's any bits stuck on the stone when you remove the pizza (after you've cooked the last one). Close the lid and leave it turned on for 5 mins to burn off the food. Let it cool down then you can then just scrape off like Maddy says with a metal implement until it's smooth again. Then wipe over with a barely damp cloth which will pick up all the powdered bits, put it back in the machine and leave the lid open for a few hours so it completely dries off.
You certainly don't want to wet it, but like a say a barely damp cloth will pick up all the powdered bits without any damage.
I've been doing this for the past few years I've had mine. :)
-
Thanks JulieO! Will follow this along with Mandy's scraper!!
-
So will I ....... when my machine arrives.
-
Tomorrow is Saturday so it is pizza night here.
-
mine will come next week.
so what are we all buying next.... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Lol! :D :D

Lol!!! I'll take. 2 !! Or better yet- 3!!!
(Just in case one just happens to work itself loose!! ;). )
-
I know exactly where my iPad is now a days. My DH has it. I nearly have to fight it from him. I want to buy him one but he insists he doesn't want a new one. I'm secretly chatting to DD to upgrade hers and give him her ipad2.
-
It sounds as if he definitely needs his own Cookie. Wonder if Father Christmas is taking orders yet ?
-
......bought the 1st ipad in this house for DH b'day 2 yrs back - he has now purchased 4 since then - keeps upgrading with a couple for his staff. so ther's never a fight in this house over ipad use!!! :)
-
For the price this machine is worth it, I just love it for breads & frittata. I did feel guilty purchasing this as our iven was iver $10,000 but so far its been fab :)
Maybe one day. Will do pizza............
:)
-
OK, so questions for people using this machine based on my own experiences....
I'm finding it difficult to roll a base and have it all fit in the machine. I find I always have bits sticking out. What are others doing to avoid this?
Are you topping your base when in the machine? I've tried making the pizza on the bench and moving the whole thing to the stone (messy disaster) and putting the base in then putting the toppings on. The second option is less messy but I'm thinking the oven is open so long it might be cooling down a bit too much?
What temp do you use for your normal tomato, meat/veg, cheese pizza?
I'm trying to learn from others experience so I don't have to do all the hard work myself!
-
I roll my dough out on a bit of baking paper, top the pizza, and then lift with the baking paper onto the stone. Keeps the stone relatively clean too
-
That's what we do CP....
DS had a pizza night with friends at their place last night and used the gas pizza oven that we got free with our outdoor setting last week.
He said it was awesome and cooked three large pizzas at once and he said great with crispy bases and very quick. Why did I gift it to him ;)
Never mind I loved outdoor setting :D
-
Perhaps you could draw a circle on the baking paper and stay within that with your dough Brumington - yours are obviously too big for the pizza maker. Use your pizza stone as a template but roll the dough to leave a 2cm gap around the edge.
-
I'm tempted to buy one of these frittata machines too... I don't like using the oven much ...
How much cupboard space do they take up, is it very large? This is the only thing stopping me so far as I imagine it would take heaps of room to store ?
-
Not huge Kulsha can fit in a small appliance cupboard easily.... That's where I store mine :)
-
Add me to the list! I bought one when we first discussed it and bought another on special after Maddy started this thread. I have one in each house now.
I love it! Haven't made Frittata yet, must get around to doing that, as well as naan.
I bought two small pizza tins to use when I top the pizzas, then just slide the pizzas on to the base.
-
Thanks for the advice Creampuff and JD. I knew I'd get the answers from the clever forum members rather than have to figure it out myself!
-
Mine should arrive this week.
-
Kulsha, I have measured the pizza maker for you - maybe then you can make up your mind as to whether you have room to store it or not.
Hard to measure but this is near enough - 34cm wide x 36cm deep x 18cm high.
-
Mine arrived this morning
-
Great news Robyn.
Hope you are feeling very relaxed after your holiday :)
-
Mine just arrived too.
It's pizza night. Yay!
-
I feel fantastic MF, well tanned, and relaxed.
-
That sounds like you had the perfect holiday Robyn ;D
-
It's here, it's here. Have seasoned it, now what to cook first ;D
-
I am sure you will come up with something yummy Kimmyh ;D
-
Thanks Judy for the measurements! Much appreciated, it doesn't actually sound that big... I will check out my cupboard soon with a ruler when I go up to the house (relaxing in the hammock with my ipad for awhile ) :)
-
That sounds like fun Kulsha - I could never quite work hammocks out ;D
-
Dh home late, so decided to make 2 pizzas for the boys in the frittaa machine.
Nice & crispy, is it better than my oven, probably, but really need to do a cook off to test them. :)
:)
-
Well, pizza maker was a huge success. Surprised hubby with it. He didn't flip out and after dinner agreed it was a great buy. I rock! ;D
-
Even if it's not better than your oven Hally at least you are not using as much electricity and also it won't make your house hot like an oven does. Good that they turned out nice. My DS had a pizza party at his place with the pizza oven I got free with my outdoor setting. He said it was really good and made 3 large pizzas at once. He said they were delicious and a nice crispy base and very quick
-
Oops. Meant to finish with... Thanks Maddy
-

I think it s slightlt better, but will do a cook off. The pizza ovenis perfect to take away on hols & cooks so quickly :) the boys had meatlovers, using meatballs from yesterday, bacon, cold meat left over & mozzarella, thy loved it, they ate one pizza & 3 pieces left. Promised as a treat thy could have for brekky, but I have a feeling they will eat it tonight :)
-
I would tend to agree with you that they will eat it tonight :D
-
I actually cook my bases in the machine for about 5 minutes before I top them. I take them out using the wooden paddles and top them and return them to the oven. I used frozen dough this week and it wasn't as nice. Next time I will roll them and cook them before I freeze them.
-
I read somewhere you can brush your base with olive oil first before you add the topping to stop the crust getting soggy
-
Love the tips you get here.. Imagine a written compilation of all the recipes, tips etc from the forum.... I think we 'd put quite a few of the top sellers out of business!!! Lol
-
pizzas tomorrow for us.
-
I read somewhere you can brush your base with olive oil first before you add the topping to stop the crust getting soggy
I made dh a pizza bianca in the frittata machine & it crisped up in 4 mins :)
-
. . . and DH said . . .?? ;D ;D
-
He loves the frittata machine :)
He knows but doesnt say anything. The bread & frittata had him hooked :)
Its like the pc, told him I would never buy one, so I dont have a pc, I have an electric cooker ;D ;D
-
Lol ;D ;D
-
that is funny Hally
-
You are so funny Hally and clever.
Think I will try the bianca too.
-
What a hoot!
-
Loved the frittata I made yesterday. I par cooked some cubed potato in the TM and added pease and corn because they're the veggies I happened to have. Didn't have feta, with so used cream cheese that I attempted to crumble.
Made a mistake shutting the lid after adding the oil to heat up. It caught alight! It was only closed for a few seconds while I finished chopping the bacon. No real harm done, fortunately. My frittata insert is well seasoned, though! 😄
-
That was lucky MJ

Thanks for the warning, MJ! Have taken note!!
-
will remember that one.
-
I have measured up and this device isn't a whole lot bigger than my deluxe cafe style sandwich press, so I just ordered one - what the hell !! It should fit in my cupboard as I have a gap from a recent clean up :) We have toasties once a week or so, and pizza once a week is also our new standby for an easy night dinner. Might as well make life easier and the oven is being painful lately.
I could only specify a street address on the payment form, but we only have a PO box (rural area), so hopefully they will deliver to post office without a hassle.
My DH didn't sound that keen when I mentioned it, thought it sounded 'gadgetty' which was my reservation too, but for that price its worth a go. If worse comes to worse, we use it a few times (saving on heating the oven or going to takeaway) and give it to someone if it doesn't get used - no harm done at the end of the day :) not that I do what my DH suggests anyway, he doesn't cook dinner unless its a bbq so its not up to him :). Afterall, his shed is full of 'gadgetty' blokey stuff that hardly ever gets used.
-
Kulsha, you will use it. Flat breads are great :)
-
You will love it Kulsha we use ours every week :)
-
It's great for when you feel too tired to cook but don't want take away.
-
I could only specify a street address on the payment form, but we only have a PO box (rural area), so hopefully they will deliver to post office without a hassle.
If they give you a hard time, Kulsha, do you have a friend (with a street address) who would take delivery for you?
-
You are so clever G.F. :)
-
Thanks, I'm keen to give it a go, its good to hear you guys use them so often. Flat breads sound great!! and I wonder if it would be deep enough for a decent frittata. Do you think you could bake a small quiche in it? I guess you could bake anything that is fairly flat-ish in size...
I could use DH work address in town if I really had to... hopefully the Aussie Post pickup should be ok.
-
Well done kulsha. You will be surprised just how deep the deep dish is. Haven't yet but am sure it will do a decent frittata, impossible pie, no pastry quiche thingy ;D
-
The frittata pan is 2.5cm deep Kulsha and it puffs up and fills all of that space.
-
I made quesadillas in them tonight. Worked really well and family loved them.
-

I'm beginning to wonder if the manufacturers realise the versatility of these little ovens!! :D
-
I made pizza bianca to go with our dinner tonight.
Miss 9: this bread is sooo good!
Me: I love my pizza maker
Miss 9: I love your cooking!
Paid for itself already!
-
Fantastic Deedub, yes we are huge fans of the frittata maker ;D
-
Maybe we need a separate forum for frittata maker recipes :)
I can't wait to get my gadget now...
-
Maybe we need a separate forum for frittata maker recipes :)
A thread is happening here Kulsha (recipes for the deep dish) http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=11378.msg204472#msg204472
Pizza topping suggestions here http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=11375.msg204442#msg204442
well done forum lovelies....they're all sold out now :P
-

For all the sales generated by this forum, they should send us one and we could give it as a prize on the forum, don't ask me how but wouldn't that be nice for someone who hasn't already got one.
Well our job is done maddy if there are no more left. Thanks for the news.
-
Wow, maybe I bought the last one! Glad i didnt procrastinate any longer. Thanks for this thread Maddy, I didn't even shop around, just went to your shopping link and made the purchase. The deep dish recipe thread is handy too, will bookmark that one for sure. These hints are so helpful, thank you.
-
You'll love it Kulsha. Just beware, that when you're putting it away in the cupboard, the handles of the stone inside have a very, very sharp edge underneath. I have a scarred inner pinky to prove it!
-
Ouch that's awful, thanks for the warning meganjane.
-
love it.
my DH says best pizzas ever last nite.
very happy :)
-
Robyn how long did they take to cook each and are they lovely and golden and crispy??
-
Taking this to Kalbarri :)
-
Frozzie about 7 minutes each, yes golden and crispy.
kids loved them too.
Will make a frtitata tonight.
-
Ok I just got mine from the post office :) which way does the stone sit? It is not completely clear in the instruction booklet???
-
Put it so that you can't see where the handles to the pizza stone go into the bracket Meagan IYKWIM ;D
-
Put it so that you can't see where the handles to the pizza stone go into the bracket Meagan IYKWIM ;D
So the little round loops the handles sit in are on the top then? Like the stone is sitting slightly higher? I have seasoned it because i figured it didn't matter which way it sat for that as the heat was coming from both sides
-
This is how I use mine Meagan - 1st picture with clean pizza stone is the wrong way. 2nd picture with dirty stone is the right way up here but really, would it make a difference? How do others place their stone.
-
I just put the stone on, turned it on, waited 5 minutes, and cooked...
-
I've got mine the same way as you Judy, but I don't think it would make much difference either, the lid seems to close ok either way.
-
DH set ours up so I have never really looked, will have a look tonight
-
Mine has just arrived, woo hoo! Haven't opened it yet though as have to go pick up DD's school uniform! Yay!! :D :D
-
Just got mine too. DH never opens parcels addressed to me but I came home to find this one unpacked -curiosity got the better of him. Haven't had a chance to try it out yet.
-
Had a good look at it - with the deep dish in the machine the lid doesn't close properly - has anyone else noted this? Planning to try the potato frittata from the My Way of Cooking book tomorrow so I'll review this later.
-
Mine doesn't close properly either Bonsai but I presumed it was meant to be like that.
-
We had pizzas for dinner last night :) yummo! It is so fast. We used to use the bbq for pizza making and DH did the cooking. This seems to cook so fast it is almost hard to keep up with the making love it!
-
pizzas for lunch today here
-
Can I ask if anyone else's deep black dish has thick clear silicon/plastic sleeves on the black rubber handles? Are they for heat resistance or travelling purposes (to stop scratches)? ??? Did you leave them on or cut them off? :)
-
Good question I was going to ask too but forgot.
-
Yes, mine has the silicon sleeves. I'd say it is for safer handling when you remove the deep dish Katie. Don't take them off.
-
yeah, leave them on.
-
yeah, leave them on.
Guess who stupidly cut them off :-)) :-)).....no, I don't know why
:P
-
That's surprising maddy, a seasoned cook like you :o
-
LOL....sometimes Judy, I do these incredibly stupid things....there is no explanation at all ;D
-
I think they are there to help protect your hands :)
Using mine today to make naan, we are going to a 50th party tonight & its an Indian theme :)
:)
-
Thank you for your replies! ;D
I'll leave mine on too - I bet yours looks much nicer without them on Maddy! :D
-

I cut mine off too maddy - d'oh!
-
And I cut mine off too. Thought they were for travel protection against scratches.

cooked the spanish potato omelette yesterday (My Way of Cooking) - did a little bit less potato than the recipe states (prob 350 grams) - just fitted in to the deep dish and puffed up amazingly. You certainly couldn't put more ingredients in as it was nearly touching the heater. Much easier to do than in a fry pan as you don't have to struggle to turn it over to brown the top.
-
Here's (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=603.0) the recipe on our forum for the Spanish potato omelette if anyone wants to try it and hasn't got the book.
-
love the pizza machine.
-
Thanks Judy
-
Thanks for the link Judy. Will try this soon.
-
the only difference between the two potato omelette recipes is that the one I used uses 6 eggs.
-
When I made my Spanish Omelette, I fried the bacon and onion in the frittata insert. Did the potato in the TMX basket first, though. I also used red capsicum.
-
I left my silicone thingies on :)
-
Drats....I found this thread too late! Have been wanting the black pizza oven for a while too :(
That'll teach me for spending sooo much time reading the WHOLE shopping thread....wow, it could be dangerous that thread.
I feel like I know some of you better now though.....definitely know that Maddy is the shopping Queen and she loves all things pink :)
I phoned TVSN to see if they will be getting more stock in....sadly not at this stage, anyone know any other good deals going for
this oven....I did find another price of $129 plus free shipping?
Thanks Maddy for the link...(teach me to be so slow) you should be on commission for TVSN :)
Congrats to all who got theirs, well done!
How do I post smiley faces with tapatalk and can one edit a post via tapatalk pls?
-
Oh I see smiley faces came up by typing them without actually clicking on an icon...
-
$129 is a good price that is what I paid for mine originally and it was the cheapest around until this special came up
-
Thanks Yvette, it works out to be $40.60 more.....guess if you say it fast, it doesn't sting as much LOL
If I leave it too long, I will miss this deal too huh....I hate missing a bargain GRR :)
-
I got mine from Victoria's Basement so didn't have to pay postage :)
-
Just found this at Everton and have placed an order over the phone because I wanted to make sure the product was actually the new wave pizza maker as the link doesn't reference the name, so $119 all up, at least better than $129
http://www.everten.com.au/The-Pizza-Maker-Multifunction-Pizza.html
Until midnight Thursday they have free shipping if you enter this code at the check out #freeship
Thought I would share this in case I wasn't the ONLY one to miss out :)
-
Yvette, are you in Sydney? Im from Melbourne, guessing Victoria's basement is in Sydney?
-
Yes I am in Sydney, that's a good price enjoy your machine when it arrives, love mine we use it every week :)
-
Thanks Yvette, at least this price takes the sting out a little and I am sure I will enjoy it, I also have their 5-in-1 multi cooker and
find that pretty good - reminds me I must cook a few more things with that...having too much fun using Thermalot haha
-
Well done GP. You are still getting a great deal as I think the rrp is $169. Hope you enjoy the pizza maker as much as we do. It really does make great naan bread too. And I can't wait to try the frittatas everyone is making.
-
its a great machine, we should get commision
-
You sold me on one...mine's on its way...I was lucky and scored it for $99. I may have to freeze the credit card for a while as it has had a workout over Christmas.
-
Oh wow, $99! Where did you get one for that price Stacelee? Great shopping
-
Kitchenware Direct had it for $99 over the long weekend...it has now gone up to $129. I'm glad that I managed to get it then because I'm waiting for one of our suppliers to release a new machine in a couple of weeks that I have a feeling that I'm going to want to save up for....so I may have to definately put the credit card in an ice cube tray in the freezer. Kitchenware direct still have a 5% off sitewide with the code sitefive.
-
That was a great price, did that include shipping as well? I bet you are pleased you got it then, sometimes it's all in the timing isn't it, being in the right place at the right time....not my strong point haha
A new machine on the horizon huh, can you share anymore about this yet??? :D
@Kimmyh & obbie....I am looking forward to getting it now Ive ordered it at last...yes, commission sounds fitting :)
Has been feeling like Xmas all over again lately with a few goodies arriving in my PO Box....think I better freeze my CC too, I seem to be a fits and starts shopper....won't buy anything for ages, then have a bit of a flutter....(better stay away from the shopping thread), my fav things are my iPad, my Nespresso machines (2) we kept our old one for taking on holidays as it has its own travel bag, Webber BBQ's (family & baby - brought a couple of years apart) and last but not least my precious Thermalot.
-
Luckily I just happened to need a couple of other things which tipped it just over the $100 so I got free shipping. I bought a cuisinart ice cream maker from them a couple of weeks ago as well to replace my ancient mistral igloo which just can't keep up with two teenagers in the house.
I'm with you, Girlpower, on the iPad and the coffee machine....I now have access to three different pod machines (a nespresso at home and an aldi and a nescafe one at work)...my coffee addiction is being well fed.
I can't share anything about the new machine for two reasons...1. I don't know a lot about it yet but I have been promised an opportunity to play with it...and 2. It would probably get me in trouble from the moderators if I did :(
Has anyone tried making any flatbreads other than Naan's in the pizza maker. I've been making a lot of tortillas lately and was wondering how they would go in the machine?

Hally has made flatbreads in the pizza maker. She mentions it on page 17 of this thread ;) See if I can find the recipe.
-
Fair enough....don't want to get you in trouble on here, how exciting to have a new toy to play with hehe.
My work also has a Nespresso machine, probably got sick of me telling them it was a necessity...LOL, must have worked cos both bosses loved it so much they brought one each for home too, I keep telling Nespresso I should be on commission

I think Hally used Chookies Savory Flat Bread recipe here (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=7336.0)
-
Yes I made chookies savoury flat breads. You can make them thin & crispy or slightly thicker. They are great :)
-
I must agree with iPad and Nespresso machines being favourite purchases.
-
I used this to make open grilled sandwiches today for kids lunches. Worked perfectly.
-
I used this to make open grilled sandwiches today for kids lunches. Worked perfectly.
Bingo!!! Never thought of that !! Thank you!! Brilliant idea!!! :)
-
I only did it because it was out and really didn't want to turn the grill on. But they were really nice and browned (both sides)
-
Medusa this is perfect . . . our grill really needs replacing - it needs to be watched all the time as the gas goes out without notice . . and until that replacement happens this will do very nicely!!
-
Made the Spanish frittata in pizza maker for first time tonight. Turned out great and very easy to do.
-
Yum, good to know as I like frittatas
-
This frittata machine is a great buy.
Flat breads, naans etc, frittatas & pizzas, all good. Used it on holiday a fair bit.
Will try the open sandwich, plus sounds great for cheese on toast too :)
-
It is a versatile little machine and it's a pity the manufacturers didn't realise all the things it could do - they could have included far more recipes and ideas in their little booklet. I'm going to try the toasted sandwiches in mine too.
-
Let us know what you think Judy :) They might have put the price up Judy if they knew it did so many things
-
glad I got one
-
My pizza oven is awaiting pick up at my local post office, (was addressed to my PO Box) couldn't carry it home this morning as I had two other parcels to collect as well so DH is picking up after work for me :)
Today feels like Xmas, two things were replacements though, so all good on the hip pocket haha
@stacelee, do you have yours yet?
-
I wasn't quite sure how to go about toasting cheese sandwiches in the pizza oven but this is what I did.
Turned the machine onto 2.
Made a cheese sandwich on frozen bread with butter on the outside.
Didn't wait until the light went off, just put it straight in. Turned it every now and then - I left it there for 6 minutes but I think 5 to 5.5 mins would have been enough. I could have turned the machine down to 1 after a few minutes but I waited until the first one had cooked then did it for the second one I had assembled whilst the first was cooking. This one took 4 minutes, turning frequently.
You do need to keep an eye on them, mine slightly burnt at the edges but I could have taken them out before that happened if I was more vigilant.
Will try open sandwiches another time. How do others toast their sandwiches?
-
Good news GP. Hope you enjoy it as much as we are.
-
I made tuna cheese and onion mixed with mayo. Put the mixture on two pieces of bread so they were open. I heated up the pizza machine (stone in) on 1.5 then put bread on stone shut the lid and then checked it a few times until it looked ready (very technical).

Mine isn't here yet ;( but a lot of our deliveries at work have been delayed by the floods so I'm assuming this might have been as well. I'm looking forward to getting it. We had pizza for dinner tonight and I froze extra bases so I'm ready to go.
-
So you think the stone would be better than the deep dish for toasted sandwiches medusa?
-
Made cp cheese on toast this morning. Worked really well.
Put the fresh bread in the stone while it was warming, used no. 2. Added the cheese, closed lid & perfect about 2 mins or so. :)
-
It's certainly easier to open and check sandwiches than it is under the griller. I'll try the stone and an open sandwich next time too.
-
Yes I used the stone :)
-
Thanks Kimmyh, I now have it, been too busy to unpack it but looking forward to trying it out soon
Hope you get yours very soon Stacelee, great idea to stock up on bases....another thing to add to growing TM list :)
-
I have a sunbeam sandwich toaster thing.
But I could do open grills on the pizza machine.. :)
-
I got mine from the post office today, about to use it for the first time. better go and pre-season it now :)
-
Yeh what's the first thing you are going to cook kulsha?
-
Thanks for the advice I got from you all in regards to my pizza making in the new oven. Had a beautiful pizza on Parmesan pizza crust last night with almost every veg known to man hidden on top. I really enjoy pizza if it gets veg into my two boys!
-
Mine arrived yesterday and I made chappatis in it tonight ready for lunches torrow. It worked beautifully, even with me being distracted by the guitar obsessed teenager who did not shut up long enough to take a breath.
-
I just did quick pizzas using wholemeal Lebanese bread and simple toppings, turned out so crispy and perfect, made 4 in a row, was so fast and easy, I'm in love. So impressed after my first go, next time my routine will get a bit better I'm sure as I was a tad nervous about it tonight. Can't wait to try other non pizza ideas later too! Thanks so much every one, all the hints made this so easy eg: I'm not worried my stone already has stains, I was careful of the sharp edge and I didn't cut off the silicon bits on the handles LOL
-
:D :D
-
That's the advantage of others going before us Kulsha - we learn from them because they are so willing to share their experience and mistakes. Makes everything so much easier for those who follow.
-
we should get commission for this thread..... ;D
-
The more I read about this pizza oven, the more I want one :P
-
Buy one Kezza ;D ;D
-
Kezza, why have you not bought one yet... :)
-
I was wondering if this pizza oven /frittata machine /flatbread maker could also be used to do a tarte tatin??
-
Karen, don't see why not. we should try one..
-
Great idea. I saw a tomato one in a magazine the other day. Not sure if I would be brave enough though.
-
I'm not supposed to be buying any more kitchen appliances :-)) Can you only get them online?
-
I have seen them in kitchen warehouse at full price.
Had a scary moment today with mine. DH was pre-heating it to make a frittata - it seemed to take a long time for the light to turn off at temp 1 and smoked a bit (which we put down to a tiny bit of dough on the element). He added a bit of butter to the pan when the light eventually went out and it caught fire 😳. Quickly turned it off, closed lid and covered with a fire blanket. Seems ok but the frittata pan is a bit black on the bottom. Bit afraid to use it again in case the thermostat is inaccurate. Think I might try it outside without any oil or butter....
Used it to cook naan last night without any trouble, so not sure what happened today.
-
I bought mine from Victoria's Basement so not on line.
Bonsai that would have been scary
-
ooh hope its alright Bonsai
-

That's very interesting, Bonsai - the very same thing happened to me the other night. I turned it off until it stopped smoking and then put a pizza in on 1 and kept opening it to see if was ok . . . cooked perfectly but not sure how long it took - a very short space of time.
Something to be aware of and keep an eye on . . .I'm going to try to make sure it's scrupulously clean after each use now to see if that has anything to do with it - even a small smudge of grease may have been the culprit! Who knows?
-
I had something similar happen to me. I sprayed the deep dish after it had heated up and I think this is where we are going wrong, mine caught fire too but I just shut the lid on it and it went out.
-
Ooh thanks for the tips, will be careful to avoid getting anything on the element.
-
You girls are scaring me!!! :o :P
treat the oven as you would a fry pan on the cook top.
Don't have a closed lid to heat any fats/oils, or on high heat to warm (It can catch alight just like a frypan) and use sprays with the insert taken out the machine.
Also a good idea to wipe over element when cold, and any debris that may have fallen under the bottom element, they will smoke otherwise ;)
-
Good advice Maddy. I had a wee fire when I shut the lid whilst heating oil. Wont do that again!
My pizza machines had a big workout last night at my DDs hens party.
I had a huge array of toppings. I ended up having to use bought bases as I ran out of time to make and freeze pizza dough.
They were a hit and soaked up the champagne and wine that was consumed during the day.
-
love my pizza / fritatta machine.
-
Don't have time to read the whole thing to check but I saw a red pizza oven at coles on sale for $39. Any good?
-
Read Maddy's comparison here (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=11296.msg200830#msg200830) between the red and black Pizza machine salsbil :)
-
Don't have time to read the whole thing to check but I saw a red pizza oven at coles on sale for $39. Any good?
i was very very tempted to buy one :-))
-
It is a different brand to the newwave red/black, that's all I know. Sorry.
-
Don't have time to read the whole thing to check but I saw a red pizza oven at coles on sale for $39. Any good?
I have a red one I bought at one C some time back on sale for $20 ;D. It has a removable stone and is it's fine. When you are in a hurry and don't want to use the oven it's just the thing. Haven't used it in a while tho because this lot prefer their pizzas from the fan forced oven.
-
Choice magazine had an article on little pizza ovens this month, have a look if you subscribe to the magazine/website. It wasn't a full test/review but did say that the ones on the market seemed to do a good job with pizza, although they warned that all models get very hot and shouldn't be used by unsupervised children.
For $39 it's no great disaster if it doesn't last for years anyway.
-
Buy it...... ;D
everyone should have a pizza machine.
-
I bought the one from C*les cos I want to take it to our beach house. People who rent holiday homes can be very rough with things and $40 isn't going to make me cry if they don't look after it. The oven runs off a gas bottle and if they made pizzas in the oven it makes sense to have a pizzamaker costwise. It will be interesting to see how long it lasts :-))
-
I ended up getting the coles one and am making pizza right now. Is it normal for it to take a while? Or do you preheat the stone first? It is my first time making pizzas in a longggggg time.
-
ok i already gave up on it. it is going back to them. it says in the instructiosn it should take 6-8 mins to cook a pizza. i don't know if mine is just a dodgy one but 30 mins later still not cooked so i took the pizza off and put it in the oven. will be getting the black one instead.
-
Didn't you get instructions with the machine salsabil? The stone has to be preheated and that usually takes about 5 minutes - I have the Pizza Maker not the Coles one.
-
Yep and it said not to preheat. I didn't but even without that it shouldn't still be raw 30 minutes later. So I am taking it back to them tonight. And it said it should take 6-8 mins to do a pizza.
-
Now on sale at Everten for $119 . . . .http://www.everten.com.au/Pizza-Lovers.html :D
-
See if there are a few new converts 8)
-
Oh no!!! Do I need it, do I need it, do I need it :o
-
;D ;D probably!! ;D ;D
-
Depends how often you like to have pizza Kezza. We used to have it rarely but now it is usually every Saturday. DD won ours several years ago.
-
buy it Kezza
-
It's the best thing I have bought (since my tmx). We use it at least fortnightly for pizzas. So quick and cooks perfectly everytime. Love frittatas in it too.
-
Haven't got around to making frittata yet but love pizzas cooked in it, and naan bread too.
-
I would love to have it, but what is stopping me is the lack of cupboard space for me to put it. I still don't have homes for my bread maker and 5 in1!!!!
-
Ok get rid of the bread maker ;D
Shame the pizza maker wasn't on wheels cos then you could just roll it under the bed ;D
-
Lol cp 😄😄😄
-
So, does the pizza maker (looking atthe black one) stand up on end for storage? Or does it need to stay flat?
-
I keep it flat Jo
-
So do I Jo.
-
Might have to clear some more cupboard space first then... ;)
Thanks!
-
buy it
-
buy it
LOL. Still considering it. It's about nz$200 here though. Might try and hang on and "DH" can buy it for me for Xmas/Birthday (I buy my own present and wrap it up, and the surprise on the day is him seeing what he's bought me)
-
Love it Jo ;D ;D ;D
-

trying to work out who gets the bigger surprise ;D
-
My DH gives me the universal gift card- cash. I don't mind.
-
DD came in last Thursday raving about pizza she had at a friends using the Red pizza maker so I told her about the Black one. LOL. They arrived today. Everton was sold put we got them from Crazysales $117 and one lot of posting as they came here together. I have seasoned it and guess Pizza will be my dinner tonight. The GK's are going to love this. I might keep it a secret for a little while, I need a break had 4 of them stay last weekend :P
-
have fun Brenda
-
I had everything ready for tonight, my neighbor just popped in to remind me we are going to,have Fish And Chips on the beach at Rye and watch the Queen Mary 2 Liner go by, I had completely forgotten, so I just had to make a small snack size pizza to try it out, yummO. Gee I am supposed to be loosing 5 kilo's . Not off to a good start. LOL. :-))
-
thats alright. seeing as it was only a sample its zero calories
-
Especially if you cut it and let the calories escape.
-
ooh, thanks for that tip cookie :D
-
;D ;D ;D
-
Ha Ha.. Had greasy fish and chips for dinner, I don't think any calories escaped. Didn't get to see Q M2. She was late leaving the dock, we had to come home. Saw the lights of the Spirit of Tassie.
-
did anyone else buy the pizza oven
-
Would anyone like a black pizza oven/frittata cooker. I don't use mine and for postage it is yours.
-
Would anyone like a black pizza oven/frittata cooker. I don't use mine and for postage it is yours.
You are very serious about clearing out stuff for your move Michele :o I'm sure a forum member will snap the offer up ;)
-
That is very generous of you Michele.
-
Oh wow, I would love it Michele :) my oven is tragic (all the seals are not working properly) and it would make our pizza night easier (and cooler!)
-
Just PM me your details if you would like it. One of the handles is scorched and the stone that is replaceable is marked.
-
Thanks for the interest, the pizza oven is off to a new home.
-
Mich the stone isn't marked it is seasoned. LOL
-
Hadn't used this for a while - but last night it was brilliant for a quick meal - would love to have a space to leave it out on the bench - I really dislike hauling things in and out of cupboards but I guess it's a small inconvenience for the end result . .(wow! what a whinge!! ;D ;D ;D)
-
I had two GK's over yesterday and we made pizza's they loved them, and using the left over dough as play dough.
-
A great experience for them AB - I bet they love coming to Grandma's ! :D
-
I made pizzas on Sunday, always leave it out on the bench. :)
-

I hear you gf....I also hate hauling stuff in and out of cupboards, but with my small kitchen and lack of bench space, it's non negotiable. GRR! Lol, you should have seen me trying to figure out where my TM could sit...there was no way that was going in a cupboard, but what a juggling act it was to behold :D
Would love a workable kitchen, on my wish list (or dream list) :)
-
GP I have a huge lot of kitchen benches..
and cupboards :)
-
Same here GF. But at least it is lightweight to lift in and out. Unlike my Kenwood which is heavy and somehow located on the bottom shelf!
-
GP I have a huge lot of kitchen benches..
and cupboards :)
Now Im green with envy obbie, you lucky gal :)
-
Unlike my Kenwood which is heavy and somehow located on the bottom shelf!
That is so typical of the kitchen heavyweights, Kimmy!! so very inconsiderate of them!! Mine did that, too, until I threatened them with extinction. If it's any weight to lift, it must find a space on the bench . . or else . . . .!!
-
Lol GF :D
-
I even have a special corner for the ice cream machine, pizza machine, 5 in 1 to be left out.
Also my thermie and my HMP, on the other bench.
-
I keep all the appliances that I use regularly on my bench top and in my appliance cupboards that are on the bench top. All others are in the walk in cupboard adjacent to and under my stairs. It is shelved and next to the kitchen and easily accessible when required.
-
I have a cupboard for the popcorn machine, toaster thing, cake pop, donut machines too.
-
Finally done it - sold our Wii last week and have ordered a pizza oven instead! ;D
-
you will love it Jo ;D
-
Yay, it's here!! I've unpacked and done the heating up to season the stone. AND found a space in the cupboard - I've even sold a few unused items, so DH will be happy.
-
Great Jo
-
Congratulations Jo.
Just seen this oven advertised in this weeks House catalogue for $119.
-
Well, just had our first pizza machine dinner, and wow, what a difference from my oven pizzas, which I previously thought weren't too bad. YUM
Got to go and find more pizza-machine-friendly recipes now..... ;)
-
It makes fantastic tortillas....much easier and cleaner than cooking them on a griddle plate. The time it takes me to roll each tortilla out is about the same time it takes to cook one.
-
Great you love it Jo.
-

That's a great idea stacelee. What recipe do you use and do you flip them?
-
Okay, I'm going to House tomorrow to get one :) I'll worry about where I am going to keep it later ;)
-
I'll find my recipe for tortillas and post it later....I'm a bit brain dead at the moment after work, I'm trying to do a grocery order with coles and I can't think of what I need.
I don't flip the tortillas, just plonk them on the hot stone for about 1 1/2 to 2 minutes. They puff up a little bit but not enough to touch the top element (well one did...but only one). When I used to make them on my griddle I had to flip them twice and have the two sides of the griddle at slightly different heats to get them to puff....way too fiddly. I've only tried the flour tortillas in the pizza oven at the moment. My family prefer them...I prefer the corn tortillas. I might try them on the weekend and make a tortilla stack with them.
-
Thanks stacelee :)
-
Okay, I'm going to House tomorrow to get one :) I'll worry about where I am going to keep it later ;)
Haha Kezza! I'll have to add you to the list :D
-
Well I didn't get it - House only had the red one and Matchbox didn't have it on special, so will have to wait for a better price.
-
Bummer kezza and naughty House. The House catalogue i had showed the black one on special. Fingers crossed someone else puts it on special soon for you.
-
My friend said she was making pizza last night, so I dropped the machine round, and now her hubby wants to buy one :D
-
we should get commission on this.

Exactly what I was thinking. ;)

Tried using our pizza oven for the first time in about 12 months yesterdayband it blew all the fuses out in the house! We were never happy with ours from the start, and its well out of warranty so in the bin it will go. I've always felt bad that we haven't used it much but now don't feel quilty getting rid of it.
-
What a bummer Wonder, I think the bin is the safest place for it. Sounds like you had a dodgy one.
We love ours and use it a lot.
-
Received a flybuys update in post yesterday and when I was looking through it saw that the pizza oven is offered with a combination of points and $70. That's really good, except that I don't have enough points at this stage :(
-
Hang in there Kezza, it will come.
We use ours almost every week. Have now bought both of Theo's book and tried some of the pizzas from there.

My pizza oven tortillas...
330ml warm water
1 tbs salt
125ml vegetable or olive oil
675g plain flour
¼ tsp baking powder
½ tsp sugar
Place all ingredients in thermomix and knead for 3 minutes scraping bowl if necessary.
You'll have a slightly sticky, very elastic dough.
Remove the dough from the bowl and use your hands to knead it for a few seconds on a lightly floured work surface, then
form a smooth ball.
Cover the dough with a kitchen towel or plastic wrap and let it rest for 10 minutes
Divide the dough into about 30 equal-sized pieces, each a little smaller than a Ping Pong ball for small tortillas or 15 to 16 pieces for larger.
Cover the dough pieces again to stop them from drying out while forming the tortillas.
Take a ball and roll with a rolling pin thinly (as thin as you can without making them tear)
Cook on hot griddle or in pizza machine,
On a griddle you will need to flip them twice, the first time when they start to look a little dry around the edges and brown spots begin to form. They should puff a little. Having the two sides of the griddle at slightly different temperatures seems to help.
In the pizza oven, they take between 1 to 2 minutes at approximately heat 2 to 2 ½. They will take longer the more you are doing as the oven loses heat each time it is opened. There is no need to flip them.
Store tortillas in a clean teatowel as you are making them to help keep them warm.

Thanks a million, Stacelee . . have printed it off and ready to go . . ;D
-
Thank you so much for sharing stacelee. I can't wait to try these in the pizza oven.
-
Thanks Stacelee - just made these tortillas this afternoon and had them for dinner. Everyone loved them, and DH couldn't believe I made them, and then decided they actually tasted better than bought ones. Definitely better value!!
I ended up turning mine halfway through cooking as they puffed up and kept reaching the top elements.
I kept them warm in the oven, wrapped in foil while I cooked and prepared everything else for the burritos, and they were great.
My biggest issue was the kids - since I had to turn/remove the tortillas every minute or two, I couldn't really walk off to sort them out, so of course they decided that was the perfect time to go ballistic. :-))
-
Oh Jo the just have built in radars don't they. Glad the tortillas worked. I am hoping to try these soon too.
-
My kids go crazy in the mornings before school

Glad they turned out Jo. Good opportunity for the kids to sort themselves out. ;)

My two teenagers have perfect timing on when to go insane.....normally when I am way too tired to deal with the noise levels. They very rarely fight but could both talk under water....normally at the same time when standing two inches away from me. I am yet to convince them that they don't need to both try talking over the top of each other.
I have a good roti recipe as well that I haven't tried yet in the pizza oven and a naan recipe...I'm planning on trying both on Thursday and will post them if either work well in the oven. I normally do the roti on the griddle and the naan in the oven (did them in our combi oven at work the other day...that was a dream...16 naans done in 5 minutes in one go...I want one for home...I made 10 trays of biscuits in one go as well...unfortunately my husband won't play nice!)

I was at house shop today buying a vase and saw the red pizza machine ,
asked if they had the black one and she told me that she got a email from the company about 3 weeks ago telling her that they are no longer making them .
l asked why and she said that the company had so much feedback from customers saying that they don't use the silver dish insert .
That's strange I said we'll everyone on the thermomix forum loves them and they make so many other things in there too and l named a few
She is going to ask the rep to see if they can get me one
I just thought other people might want to know in case they were putting it off like me
-
That's interesting Nazar I think they are crazy taking it off the market, just on this forum alone they must of sold heaps
-
Saw an ad in the paper from 'Chef's Hat' selling red pizza maker for 99.95 - says 'black one now available'. They have an online store, might be worth checking out...
Love my pizza maker ;D
-
love my pizza maker too.
-
Hope they're not getting rid of the black one...although it's not available through the NZ pizza maker site, and I had to get mine from Aus! So maybe...
Or fingers crossed it's just that we've bought up all the spare stock! ;)

new photo jo
-
Haha! Love the new you, Jo!
stacelee, your tortilla recipe is hidden in this thread. It'd be good if it were placed in the Bread section of the forum. I only happened to check here on the off chance there was something interesting happening here!! (And there was!!)
-
Dee dub
l checked out that site and the black one was $99 too and postage only $10 which is a good price
Unfortunately for me the ladie at house has ordered me one for $ 169 as l thought l did not want to miss out
I might ring the company and ask if what she tells me is true
-
My pic is actually DD in disguise. :D
I made my first frittata in the machine yesterday - went down really well. And so easy. ;D
-
should make a frittata tonight for lunches.

Our Pizza Night last week also included dessert pizzas (roughly based on the ones our local pizza shop does). These were a BIG hit, so just in case anyone's interested:
I used a regular pizza base, but it was pre-cooked (made too much dough last time, so cooked and froze 2 bases)
Spread cold plain custard (EDC recipe) over the base. Sliced a banana (one banana over the 2 pizzas) sprinkled frozen raspberries and dark choc chips over them, and baked.
Next time I'll try with uncooked dough, but we had unexpected guests for dinner so used the full batch on the dinner pizzas. Luckily we had the pre-made ones there.

on sale at Everton online again

Can't recommend these machines too highly! Mine doesn't seem to make it back into the cupboard at all these days. That said though, getting some grip type thingies to go on the feet.. this apparently is something that should be addressed on all the different brands of pizza makers out there.
-
Goldfish, I never put mine away. ;D
I should take another photo of my kitchen bench.
pizza machine, 5 in1, KAid, 2 thermys.
Love them all.
-
2 thermies obbie? Wow!
-
Brumington, check out my blog

Will do obbie!

Aren't kitchen benches just for appliances ????? Mine currently has a Thermomix, Thermochef, Kenwood, Kettle, Microwave and just enough room to rotate 6-in-1, 5-in-1, airfryer and sous vide. And I wonder why my husband rolls his eyes when I talk about bringing a Robot Cook home later in the year.
-
Stacelee, you are the appliance Queen. I will have to google and find out what the Robot Cook is? ;D
I have very little bench space and don't like too much on my benches. I do have excellent and easy to access storage.
-
Google now for robot cook, looks funny
Stacelee, which airfyer do you have :)
-
Its not the robot cook that comes up in Google...although if one of those could vacuum, mop etc I'd have one....I think my neighbours hate me for vacuuming early morning but otherwise the dust bunnies would be having dust bunnies. You need to google a french company for what I'm talkiing about, its not being released here until later this year and even then it hasn't been confirmed (but I'm nagging in anticipation). :)
I have the Phillips Air Fryer. I did have the tefal but never used it because it didn't suit my style of cooking, To be honest I don't use the air fryer but my husband and daughter use it constantly to make chips, pies, asian entrees, potato gems, chico rolls etc. I'm not a big fan of fried food and find the potato a waste of a vegetable.
-
Thanks
-
I'm the same as you Michele I only like my tmx and coffee machine on my benches I do have the space but I don't like the feeling of clutter::)

;D ;D ;D Love it!! ;D ;D ;D
I would LOVE easy to access storage and in my perfect kitchen I would have a row little alcoves - just big enough for the appliance, with a slide out shelf thingy so it doesn't have to be lifted in any way, and it's own independent electrical outlet. When finished, clean up, slide the appliance back into its cupboard and pull down its roller type door to hide it away.
I'd like to think that idea is original, but I'm sure it's been done an varying scales more often than not . . ;D ;D ;D
So failing that ;D ;D I have my TMX, K'aid, digital scales, pizza maker, kettle and toaster on the bench - and up on the so called breakfast bar, the ice cream maker (which can't for the life of it, find a home anywhere else atm,) and the dehydrator

Same Suzanne - I have a nespresso pixie, matching kettle and knife block on the bench. Even TMX is in a very easy to access cupboard. Occasionally flowers make their way onto the bar area. Luckily I can cater to my kitchen appliance and cake pan obsessions as even though my kitchen is the size of a postage stamp we have a granny flat (with a bigger kitchen than mine), a store room and a cellar.
;D ;D ;D Love it!! ;D ;D ;D

Sounds like a dream kitchen GF. :D :D

I have heaps of bench space in my kitchen.. :D
-
You are very lucky Obbie - I make up for it in storage space or I wouldn't know what to do. ???
Even if I had more kitchen bench space which I have had in previous homes, I wouldn't leave appliances out - just me, I have a very minimalist style of decorating. :)
-
me too have the space but like it that way always looks tidy to me that way ;D
-
Me too like a tidy kitchen, only keep TM out

I hope I have picked up the right thread here. I have just found another use for the pizza ovens - a chestnut roaster (http://www.homemakeit.com.au/collections/chestnut-roasting/products/chestnut-roaster-pizza-oven-electric-napoli-red-31cm-diam)
-
What a great idea Marina, I'm sure someone will use that idea.
-
Brilliant.

great idea Marina

Thanks Marina. Great idea. Just when Chestnut are in season.
We have our very small first harvest of Chestnuts this year. The parrots also love them. :-\
