Title: Dishwasher powder question
Post by: Buttercups on December 19, 2012, 02:09:07 am
Hi All, I thought we weren't meant to be making the dishwasher powder in our thermies anymore, however I was just over on the recipe community which the thermomix australia site points me to and this recipe is on there:
http://www.recipecommunity.com.au/recipes/eco-dishwasher-powder/51265 (http://www.recipecommunity.com.au/recipes/eco-dishwasher-powder/51265)

Is this an error or is this recipe actually ok to use?

Thanks all  :)

There doesn't seem to be anything harmful in there, I might make some but I would definitely remove it as soon as it is mixed.

This is the same recipe (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=8723.0) as on our forum Buttercups.  I made a double batch this morning and just mixed it in a bucket. There is nothing that could harm the TM bowl, you may be thinking of this  (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=940.0) recipe which did cause problems.  This powder works well in my Miele dishwasher but I use a good tablespoon each time as the lesser quantity didn't seem to work as well.

Thanks  :)

It seems like a great idea, I was just a bit worried!

I'm so very protective of my thermie  :-))

I think members are still using the original dishwasher tablet (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=8723.0) recipe chardie18.
