need some ideas to use dehydrated berries
was thinking of grinding them up and using in powder form for cakes and drinks
they are pretty sour
-
That sounds like a good plan! Add them to some sugar too :D
-
Could you put them on chocolate bark so that the chocolate would counteract the sourness?
-
Tenina has a recipe for Chocolate Cherry Brioche in FFS using dried cherries so I would imagine using dried berries in place of the cherries might work.
There's a recipe in the UK Thermomix newsletter (http://www.ukthermomix.com/pdfs/My%20Thermomix%20-%20Newsletter%20-%20Issue%2007.pdf) May 2011 for Seedy, nutty flapjacks in which you could use your dried berries.

What type of berries are they.? I am concerned that if they are , say, blackberries with lots of seeds they may be gritty when ground.
-
they are blackberries, raspberries and mixed berries
the blueberries are nice i wont do anything with them
-
Hey DinkyDi - they are great in slices too!
