made triple batch this morning on stove top, it could easily be made in the TM
i just tried some :-)) its very good
DD recipe not sure where she got it from
* 250g good-quality dark chocolate,
* broken into pieces
* 1 x 600ml ctn Dairy Farmers Thick Custard
* 1 x 300ml ctn Dairy Farmers Thickened Cream
* White chocolate, thickly grated, to serve
* Method
1. Step 1
Place the chocolate and custard in a heatproof bowl over a saucepan of simmering water (make sure the bowl doesn't touch the water). Use a metal spoon to stir until chocolate melts and mixture is smooth. Set aside for 15 minutes to cool.
1. Step 2
Use an electric beater to whisk the cream in a bowl until soft peaks form. Add to the chocolate mixture and gently fold until just combined. Spoon evenly among eight 200ml-capacity serving glasses. Cover with plastic wrap and place in the fridge
for 1 hour or until set. Sprinkle with grated white chocolate to serve

mmmmmm, looks totally yummy, it's as well DH is lactose intolerant otherwise we could both be in a lot of trouble with this recipe!

This looks great, just the thing I might make to take to a dinner tomorrow. If I can't be bothered going to the shops to buy custard, do you think I could make the EDC one and use the same amount of that?
I might just have a go anyway...

this is the custard i do
500g milk i used skimmed
6 whole eggs
60 gm sugar
40 gram of corn flour
9 minutes @ 80C on speed 4
it makes more than 600mls about 750mls i am trying to work out how much chocolate and cream i would need to use for that amount of custard b4 posting the conversion

Thanks for sharing your custard Uni. I guess as 750g is 25% more than 600 so would you increase the others by 25% too? I'll try it tmw and maybe increase the cooking by a min or so....

I licked the bowl and it is delicious! I'll try to post a pic and my little tweak soon. Thanks so much for a yummy recipe...particularly good for those like my DH who love mousse but don't like raw egg
