This recipe is so easy I'm not sure it needs to be posted but here it is anyway!
I had a radish harvest and had no idea what to do with them. After a quick search for recipes I decided to make radish butter and I'm so glad I did. It is lovely.
Blitz a handful of radishes into small chunks (I did speed 6 until the sound changed - a couple of seconds I think). Remove from bowl and squeeze out the juice.
Mix cold butter in TMX bowl to soften. I used about 100g but more or less will make no difference to the final outcome.
Return radishes to bowl and season with plenty of salt and black pepper.
Mix on reverse/2/5seconds
Voila! As simple as that.
Spread on toast or crackers.

That's different Brumington, easy too. The only thing I know what to do with a radish is put it in salads. I meant to pick up a punnet of seedlings the other day when I bought some herbs but forgot, they are so easy to grow.

To be honest I grew them for that reason alone. I'd heard they were so simple to grow that I figured it would be a good confidence boost for my not so green fingers. I only ever put them in salads but I had that many I knew they'd spoil before I'd get to use them. For such a simple recipe with so few ingredients it is really tasty. Apparently the French go mad for it and it even has a tick of approval from Hugh Fearnley-Whitingstall of River Cottage fame! I've read it can be kept like this in the fridge for a few days or even frozen but I've not tried this myself considering I only made it today.

Thank you. That was my first option but I'd picked them not realising they deteriorate so quickly. We're not going to be eating in the house in the next few days and would have been so upset if they'd gone to waste so started Googling how to preserve them. This recipe came up over and over again. I have to admit it didn't appeal much but when I tasted it, it was lovely.

In India radishes are used in a lot of recipes, probably for the same reasons. If you like that style I am sure Mr Google will reveal them. I love radishes and have not seen radish butter in years so thanks for reminding me.

This sounds yum.
Radishes just get eaten raw by themselves here (by me...)

I hope my radishes grow :)

Uni, anyone can grow radishes easily so I would be very surprised if you don't have success with them.
-
I can't . The grasshoppers and rats are mine!

OK, I'll rephrase that, anyone south of Cairns can grow radishes easily - or perhaps it's anyone in Adelaide ;)
