Made this for dinner tonight, using fish instead of chicken. Overall, a thumbs up if you like fresh coriander and coconut.
My tweaks:
-one large green chili instead of three due to household chili wimps- 3 seems like a lot, actually.
-After getting to step 5 and blending, it seemed a bit lacking in depth so I added some grated fresh ginger (about a 3 cm knob). Next time I will add this in with the onion and garlic.
-I used light coconut milk so at the end if was a bit thin and I thickened it up with a tablespoon or so of cornstarch slurry.
-I had some powerful mint chutney in the cupboard, so I added a teaspoon at the end. It gave it a nice flavour boost.
We had it with roti and samosas and some raita! I will definitely make it again. :)

Thanks for the review thermodynamic. I don't currently have this book but I think I might buy it soon as it has quite a few good recipes.

This is a great curry but we find it pretty mild even using the correct number of chillies! The coriander gives it a lovely fresh flavour, and a bright green colour! It's pretty wet too - lots of sauce. It's an African curry so the flavours are more subtle than some of the other curries in the Indian Cookbook, it kind of reminds me like a cross between an Indian and Thai curry. A nice addition to any curry repetoire. Great served with rotis and/or rice!
