Title: Boost Juice style Smoothies
Post by: vixen666 on June 07, 2009, 05:54:08 am
Hi Guys,

Having to go on a budget after hubby lost job. Both me and my toddler enjoy our boost juice drinks but dont like the price tag attached. Does anyone have any recipes for smoothies? Esp ones with strawberries, bananas or mangos in.

Thanks  ;D

I make these often for myself and the kids.
I just play it all by ear adding fresh fruit, frozen berries, ice cubes, juice, maybe some yoghurt, often some almonds, sometimes an egg etc., etc.
Just taste as you go along - its hard to muck it up!! ;D

Will dig out some recipes - they are so easy to make, but it is a good idea to chop up bits of fruit to put in freezer - on trays initially, then bag when frozen, ready for blitzing in the juice.

I love the banana buzz from boost , and figure it cant be that hard, i know they use banana, td4 yoghurt but surely any yoghurt is fine, some honey ice cubes and milk.

Lmk if i have forgotten anything, i am addicted to these so cant wait to give it a try!

My favourite at the moment is Tropical Fruit Smoothie:
Banana, pineapple, mango, mango sorbet and tropical/brekky juice, I just toss it all in TM blend for about 30secs and there it is...yummo.
Sometimes I will puree quite a few mango and just freeze the flesh so it is easy just to grab some out of the freezer when wanting a smoothie.
