Title: Kids are hilarious....
Post by: astarra on November 06, 2012, 04:46:31 am
We all know kids come out with random/funny/crazy/what-on-earth/embarrasing things sometimes, and I thought it might be fun to share some....

Miss3 and I just had the following conversation....
her = "mum, you are a piece of cwap."  :o
me = "really? ... why?"
her = "acuz look at your legs, they got a big bruise on them, so that means they not nice."

:D :D :D Its funny what they say. But remind them at their 21st..

My kids ask me why I am old....  Most mothers of friends are 10  to 15 years younger than me..

I love the cute and funny things that kids come out with! I've been embarrassed quite a few times by various comments...I really have to watch what I say now!

I can still remember when I was about eight years old, we were going by train to the Royal Melbourne Show. Well, my younger brother, who was about 5 or 6 at the time, asked my mum (in a crowded train carriage) "Mum, what is a prostitute?" It was so funny...my poor mum, it must have been so awkward for her!!! I wish I could remember her answer! (or if she answered!)

One of my SILs just rung me....could hardley talk for laughing, and told me her DD (4) had said this to her (while eating noodles for lunch)

MISS4: do you like having me to stay?? You can have a turn of all my books after me………………….. ( talking to her mum)

HER MUM: where do you normally live if you don’t live with mum and dad??

MISS4: UMMMM mostly at Grandpa's or Pa's, just depends!

HER MUM: ok so you don’t live with us ??

MISS4: ONLY when you always give me noodles??!!

HER MUM: that makes me feel  a bit sad,

MISS4: NOPE you don’t feel sad mum,  you don’t really mind mum, so do you want to have a turn of my books?????? OR NOT?

Nearly 3.5 Astarra although some days she thinks she's the adult
Sometimes our dinners can go for 1.5hrs everybody talking and trying to get their opinion across especially Lily whose "stories" can go on forever and nobody can leave until she is finished  ;D
I love listening to the kids chat and debate

Ohhh yess, we've had some hillarious lines ......... hére's the one that takes the cake in this house !

DS2 was toilet training and about 2 1/2 at the time. He was usiing a potty and after doing number twos he stood up, bent right over with hands on the floor and butt in the air to have his bum wiped.

All we hear is DS1 who was about 5 at the time, calling out with an extrememe emergency tone in his voice .......... he calls, "Mum, mum come here quick" so we go running in saying "What, What ??" DS1 says "Jayden's got a hole in his bum".

OMG we just could not stop laughing hysterically !!

I'm not sure where DS1 thought his own number twos came from LOL !!

My miss7 told me one day that she knew who she was going to marry.... I replied that she might not have met the person she is going to marry yet. She said, I KNOW that mum, I don't know who I'm marrying in my adulthood yet, but in my childhood I'm going to marry Elliot! (Poor Elliot)

I have a few for when they turn 18 !!

Here's my next funny tale.  Also about DS2 (he's a real monkey !!).  He also would have been not long toilet trained so around 2 1/2.  This story needs a picture to tell the story so see the picture first !

I was in my bedroom upstairs getting ready to shower the kids, my bedroom door is at the top of the stairs in the picture just to the right.  My dh was down stairs ! I come out of the bedroom to see DS2 standing at the top of the stairs leaning with his butt forward and peeing between the railings.  I yell out to my DS2, "No Jayden, you don't wee there !!!" (I was finding it hard to tell him off and hide my hysterical laughter at the same time).

My DH who's downstairs hears the commotion, so comes to check it out and YEP you guessed it walked out under the stairs looking upwards and got showered with wee !!! WELL no-one could contain themselves !!!! I had to go in another room and let dh shower the kids (and himself LOL).  Whilst it was extremely funny, I couldn't let a young toddler think this was a great thing to do and REPEAT his performance !!!!

After his shower I was dressing DS2 and had him laying on the change table putting his nappy on for bed and I said to him "Jayden, that was very naughty, you wee in the toilet !" and his response was "Noooo not naughty, FUNNY !!!" Well I lost it again !!

DS1 told everyone for ages and ages Jayden peed on Daddy LOL

Thankfully it has never re-occurred (just in case you all think we are breading ferral little children LOL).  Little boys  !!!!!

Ohh and a recent one, DS2 yet again, he's 5 1/2 now !!! (We have 3 boys but the middle one is definately the cheekiest of all).

On our recent cruise to NZ, we visited some hot pools in Tauranga.  DS2 comes down a slide there and splits his chin open (for the fourth time now).  We had him all glued up at a doctor there ! We'd been been saying to him you're going to have so many scars on your chin etc etc

A few days later, "He asked my Mum if she had any scars, to which she replied, "No".

He said "Yes you Do !!!" and she said "No I haven't got any".  Then he points to some wrinkles on her face and says "There !!"  Poor mum !

Out of the mouths of babes ehhhh LOL

oh, let my kids give them a seasons lesson.  Apparently sunshine = summer even if it's frosty (literally single digit temperatures - fortunately we are getting past those though). It's been a struggle all winter to get clothes on DD(2) - shorts and tshirts year round.

My DS asked when I'm having a baby as I have a "fat tummy". Nice.
Luckily he also says nice things like "mum, you make the best fuzz" (choc fudge)....actually maybe that has somethng to do with the tummy...

LOVE the stair shower Debbie - priceless!

Some of my favourites:

Many years ago when the kids were tiny, a friend said to keep a notebook handy to write down all these wierd and wonderful things they say because memory soon fades with time. Now the kids are almost grown up (well they think they are) we still enjoy flipping through the pages for a giggle or "aaah".

So now's your chance to do likewise and capture all those moments for posterity in your own memories notebook.

Just flipped through the notebook again. Here are a couple more crackers:

* DW had just had her legs waxed - DD "Mama had her legs skinned today"
* DD coming off a slide at a water park "you'll have the time of your life Mama, but hang onto your boobs!"
* DS (aged about 5) "I've got a pouch between my legs to keep my nuts in"  :-))
* DS "I wish I only had half a sister - the kissy half"
* GrannyMO: "Zoe's got a very good vocabulary"; Zoe: "what does that mean?"!!
* DS "the best bit of Christmas is when you wake up and your sack is full" (seems he has a thing about that  ;D)

and on it goes. Have fun making your own memories notebook.

 ;D Astarra

At the moment we are having problems with DD, next year she goes to kindy so has to wear the uniform which is a blue and white dress or yellow t-shirt and blue skirt, none of these colours are DD's cup of tea, I have tried everything to get her to love it and her last comment to me was
DD - I'm not wearing it
ME - what are you going to wear then?
DD - Nothing I'm going naked

It's the same school her brothers go so she sees them every day, bribery is my only option, getting her to try the dress on was a mission the ladies thought it very funny and had never seen a little girl with such an opinion, 2.5mths to figure it out

If she really objects, let her go in her underwear and take the uniform. Once she is there and sees the other children in their uniforms and they laugh at her a bit she will put it on.  :-\ I reckon she won't go out the door unless she is fully dressed.

I took my DS 4yrs at the time to pre school in pyjamas. The kids laughed, he didn't care (so he made out) but never had that struggle again.

I don't think she would either Michele but her ability to have such a strong opinion at the age of 3 still amazes me, my others never cared what they wore clothing wise but she is a different kettle of fish, keeps me on my toes

Talking about bribery with Christmas coming up ! Some parents at our school were talking about how they bribe their kids with "better be good or Santa won't come ............"

Anyhow one of the parents said they tell their kids if you don't be good you'll get potatoes instead of presents ........... on Christmas morning they always make sure the kids have a couple of potatoes amongst their presents just so they know that they missed out on some presents !!  I think it's a brilliant idea !!! Will sure get the kids thinking huh !

Unfortunately my eldest is 8 and quite suspicious so I'm not sure how successful this would be for him.

On christmas day a few years ago my young miss 6 asked her yia yia (grandma) for some some slices of dead pig!
Yep she sure does know where her ham comes from.

Reading this Debbie reminded me of something Very Happy Jan posted on 13th December 2009 (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=2493.msg27073#msg27073)  :D :D

LOL  :D

Miss22mths was on the toilet yesterday, suddenly she screamed (and I mean screamed)  so I rushed in there, she was standing up on the toilet seat with her legs wide apart and a poo coming out, I asked her what was wrong...."I growing tail, no tail, not like it tail, doe way tail."   :-))  Once I explained the situation to her she calmed down, sat down again and finished her job.  :D

Sorry, that might be TMI... ???

Oh dear, I have the strangest kids...

We had some visitors here, 1 of which just happened to be the sister of a friend fondly reffered to as "Mr Tiger."  Anyhow, Miss22mths is just walking around talking as usual, and suddenly says "Poor Mr Tiger." We were all a little surprised, but said "why poor Mr Tiger?" She answered "Hair all gone." Everyone cracked up laughing, as Mr Tiger happens to be bald on top!!!  :D

Embarrasing child!  :-[

If you can't show your kids love and affection you shouldn't be a parent, it's funny you need a license to own a pet but anyone can have a baby :'(

Hmmm, I have to say i really dislike comments like this.  I've been unfortunate enough to see some children living in tough situations and I've got to say, even when it may appear to you like the parents aren't doing enough for the kids, it is often the case that the parents are doing the very best they can - it is just different to the best you can do.

We all face our own challenges in life and looking down on parents who are struggling doesnt help anyone - least of all the kids.

Perhaps they are doing the best they can do, but not neccessarily whats best for their child. There are a lot of children in this world who have been born to unfortunate circumstances yet know they are loved, and a lot of parents who are affluent yet do not know how to love their children, and there are a lot of children in this world who are not or feel as though they are not loved enough. Don't worry snappy the comments haven't been judgemental, just sympathetic.

I agree with CP. And thats why there are so many departments out there devoted to helping struggling families. Child protection agencies, mental health services, family support and counselling services, charities.... there is a lot of help out there for children and parents to nuture their relationships so that the kids can feel safe and loved :)

Sorry snappy if that was taken as a judgemental comment, as CP said, it was written in a sympathetic way (well meant to be) not a judgemental way.  :'(

Totally agree - I don't want my baby to grow up, and am half-dreading the call from kindy for her to start!  (I've already put them off once too...)
My just-turned-3 has just change so much recently in a good/funny way.  Just letting her lovely humour show through a lot more, even around other people.
And DS(5yrs) is just super sweet (when he's not busy being a little terror, of course) - and lately he tells us he loves us and wants us to "live until the very last number".

And Astarra, that is the CUTEST!!  They can be so heart-melting (and they know it, I'm sure  ;) )

Scene:  Preschool - parents open day.
Enter a dad
Child not related to dad:  "come and look at all our silkworms!"
Child proudly indicates a 2 storey box: "down here we have some silkworms - (indicates lower level)
"Look at the cocoons they've made" (indicates further up the box)
"and up here there are lots of moths laying eggs (indicates top level) . . . look, these two are having sex . "
Exit the dad . . .  ;D ;D

Me & DS3 were on a train the other day, that was very full. He was sitting in his pram next to my seat, and he turned to the person on the seat on the other side of his pram and said 'Hi black man'. I quickly told him that just because someone is wearing a black top doesn't mean you can call them black man. He got quite a few laughs, but boy was my face red!
