Okay, I'm so excited I can hardly type :o :o :o The forum is on Twitter ?!?!?
CONGRATS to MM and this forum. Great move! This forum is the best and the biggest and about to get a whole lot bigger. Are you we ready for it?!?

I don't understand twitter at all (mind you, I barely understand facebook) - how does twitter work - it seems very confusing.
-
I am the same Cuilidh as I don't have a clue how twitter works ???
-
Same here ;D
-
I know all about it, but sorry have absolutely no interest in it. Much better things to do with my time.
-
My limit is facebook when it comes to social networking sites :-)) I hope all the twitterees have fun with this ;D
-
No idea of how twitter works either! Not really interested in it or Facebook :-))
-
Think that this will satisfy me!!!
-
I agree Trudy. :D
No interest in Facebook or Twitter
-
I agree, I don't have time for twitter either and nobody here needs to know how it works. The beauty of MM putting the forum on Twitter is that it will bring new members, and that is what MM wants. Current members don't need to worry about learning Twitter... so no worries there. It's the Twitter users who will find out about the forum and that will help introduce this forum :-* and Thermomix in general to more people.
For some of us who are already too busy, Twitter is painful. :-)) So is facebook :-)) and all the other social media avenues. They do have their place though, and it's a smart move by MM to do this. More member does mean more work for the moderators though... :(

Thanks for that explanation Helene, makes sense now.
Cookie I hope you are ready for the influx of new members :D
-
Very true Helene, I hadn't thought about the flip side.
-
Thanks Helene for the explanation, all makes sense now, have a twitter account but could never get my head around it.
-
Fantastic! Have just followed :)
-
I don't understand Twitter either. Also, I have no interest in twitting or tweeting or whatever it is ;D
Moptop
-
Thanks Helene.
-
I only just discovered Forum Thermomix is on Facebook too...
-
I don't understand twitter either. Does that make me a twit?? I only joined Facebook earlier this year because I was curious. Now hardly use it as I seem to spend all spare time on here!!
-
I have a twitter account, but I don't use it.
If I can remember the password I might have a look.

Twitter is great for live updates on what is happening right now...-anywhere
I started following celebrities but quickly found that boring, now I just subscribe to local news etc.
Last year I was at my local shopping centre and there was an explosion, I saw a man lying on the ground. As i quickly left I grabbed my phone, searched twitter for the incident and found that it was an innocent mishap so I went back to my shopping.
It is really handy to follow the Emergency Services/Fire authority for emergencies and they alert us about back burning so I'm not
alarmed.
Now I have another interesting group to follow thanks MM :)

Love fb but not a fan of twitter but great that MM has got the forum even more exposure 😊
-
So glad to see I'm not he only one to not really understand twitter. Don't think I'll be bothering.
-
I don't use fb, but I do like twitter. I follow all the news on it, and news people. Also Dymocks, Adriano Zumbo and a couple of tmx sites.
I love how you can find out breaking news etc on it. While we were away I could flip through twitter and see what was happening at home, because of following the Perth news channels and newsreaders.
I also admit, I follow Grug. I think he is great. ( he is a character in kids books).
-
I don't twitter, or FB
-
I don't twitter, I do have a facebook page, but we only used it when my son was getting married so we could be involved in all of the visual things - photos, other than that I can't be bothered.
-
Yay! Great to see the forum on Twitter. I was just thinking about this the other day. There is a wealth of info on here that can be tweeted to reach out to new followers/members. And hopefully the forum (MM?) can help answer any queries tweeted by new or aspiring owners real time.
As some members have pointed out, Twitter is great for live updates, real time responses and is great for drawing crowd to your other social media platforms (ie Facebook, the Forum). I have a personal Twitter account (it's @dhitri) and manage a couple others for work etc. Have been tweeting many #thermomix recipes from my Pinterest board and gained a lot of new followers (at least a new one on a daily basis).
FYI, I work in communications and research about social media--I truly believe it has and will continue to shape how people communicate and how the media works on and offline.

Just an update on the forum's twitter links. We have had recipes from several members on there recently. I think one of Kimmy's was the last one MM posted.
Helene is also on Twitter if anyone is interested.
