I Skype all the time to friends overseas.
It's great and costs nothing.
Sometimes we talk for hours ;D
-
My sister is in Queensland and we skype regularly, as you say MF its free. My sister can talk for hours.
-
We have skype, i dont know how to use it ???
-
We are the same, Hally. I think I have managed to get it to work once and that was it - must try again.
-
I love Skype, talk to my friends overseas but best of all the kids use it, and there is nothing nicer than talking and seeing them beats the phone hands down. Now with FaceTime on the ipad it is all magic, don't miss out on anything :)

When my DD spilt a cup of hot boiling coffee on her stomach recently, whilst she was under the cold shower, her DD7 rang her Dad who was in Sydney all week, they used FaceTime to show him the damage it had done and he told his DW to go to the hospital. He then rang his parents to ask them to go around to the house to look after the kids whilst she did this. This is the first time I had heard of FaceTime.

Skype and face time are fantastic. I use them all the time to chat with the kids when I'm travelling overseas. They can see where I'm staying and even chat with other people that are around me. I've had quite a few instances where the only internet access has been in small hotel foyers and older people have noticed me chatting to the kids and come and said hello.
-
We use skype when we travel and also have overseas friends we keep in contact with via skype. Hally if I can use it, then anyone could!!! You just have to remember that if you want to see the person on the other end then you have to click on the little icon that looks like a camera.

I have skype on my home computer,
-
I don't skype
-
My DS suggested Skype to reach you down under, but I am not signed up at present.
Used it when DD was in NZ.

I had to read this twice - I wondered why your DD was drinking coffee in the shower then realised that she was cooling the burn in the cold water!
-
I'm glad you got it Marina :D

Skype is great and we use it all the time... Great to keep in touch woth friends and family far away.. Only way my parents got to see their grandkids for since they were born on a regular basis anyway..
-
I used it in Monkey Mia once to show DD a big fish I had caught.
-
We love Skype...I've used it at the hardware shop to 'show DH a product I needed to buy but wasn't sure if it would work...I got some strange looks and nods!
I'm also planing a Skype date with my aunt who lives in the UK to give her a TMX demo :)
Such a great tool!

Funny, I never even blinked at this coffee fix, and I'm a tea drinker. I guess I've just become accustomed to their daily fix...
