I made these to go with salad last night. Very tasty (even without the miso as I didn't have any) and very easy. I didn't bother shaping them, just used an icecream scoop to drop large spoonfuls into frypan, then flattened with the eggflip. Some ate them with sweet chilli sauce, some ate them with creamy cashew mayo. They will be a definite for lunchboxes this year as they are nice next day too. Didn't think to take a photo :( We loved them. Thanks matmob :)

Matmob,  thanks for this recipe.  I love a veggie burger.    For years I have made them with Chickpeas as the base,  but will give these a go.

Sorry judydawn, it's a while since I made these - from memory the recipe would serve between 4-6 people, depending on how many you eat!

These looks like such a great little alternative to a meaty burger or meatball. I will definitely give them a go. I've only just bought a packet of miso too...does it matter what colour miso it is? I think the one I have is called Red miso? That will be fine won't it?

Surely miso is miso blackwood.  I'd use it.

There are many different types of miso. The red is salty, whereas the white is a bit sweeter. The red is probably a good choice for the burgers.

My DH loves a vegie burger and will often order it if he sees it on a menu. I've never made one before, but thought I'd give this recipe a try for "meat free Monday".

My DH said it was  the best vegie burger ever! I substituted half the sunflower seeds for poppy seeds (as my DH doesn't really like sunflower seeds) and added some chilli.

I made 12 burgers from the mix and have frozen some of the leftovers.

Thank you for a great recipe, we both really enjoyed it.
