Morning urgent query
Thermy won't knead today. Press :: button, nothing.
Reverse ok and so is normal speed 1 to 10.
Ken the kenwood had to rescue Foccacia now in airing cupboard!
May have to ring HQ
Suggestions please.
My instruction manual is packed.

Just the obvious one DJ. Have you moved the dial to the lid locked position?
-
Unplug, pick tm up, make sure everything is normal. Plug back in. Make sure ld is locked properly & now try.
H :)

Thanks. DD
Yes because it works on all other settings.
I press knead and the symbol does not come on at all.
Press reverse and it works.
On any number 1 to 10 it works.
I did unplug hally and plug back in. Think I lifted up. Will try again
-
Well I left it unplugged for 20 mins
And tried again
It is ok now.
Obviously it had a hissy fit.
Thanks all
-
Glad to hear DJ! :)

I find firm discipline works the best - "if you don't sort yourself out right now I'm going to turn you off and ignore you for an hour or two". If he/she/it stll won't play ball, follow through with the threat. After an hour or so you'll often find your TMX is good as gold!!!
-
Glad to hear its working ok.
Bet that gave you a fright though

i had this problem today too. Was making pizza dough and thermie just didn't want to play. I have it unplugged now so hopefully mine too will behave again when I plug it back in.
-
Just tried Thermie again and all is good. Actually, thinking about it I think the fault was all mine and not Thermie's (yep, user error who would have thought??). I think I may have flicked the dial onto speed 1 while trying to use the :: function instead of leaving it in the 'lid closed' position. Oops!

Happens to all of us at some point VieveMS. ;)
-
It certainly does. It doesn't knead when your dough is hot too. I
nearly did freak out the first time I made gnocchi.
-
Quite easily done! Hence the best way to resolve most of these types of problems is to turn everything off, have a cuppa (or a glass) and then get back to business. Have fun.

Very true.
