Hi everyone!   :)

I'm very excited ... I've just ordered my thermomix! (where's the happy dance emoticon?!?)  I have wanted one for years, but had to wait til finances were a little more steady -- with 3 young boys, money just seems to disappear.

Anyway, it's lovely to meet you all, and will probably need to come to you for help in a couple weeks when my TMX arrives!

Welcome KikiJ. You will just love it. I remember the excitement of finally getting my tmx. Hope the next few weeks fly by for you.

Hello Kiki, I take it you are a tad excited with the imminent arrival of a much wanted kitchen appliance  :D  We can understand that and we look forward to your questions over the coming weeks.  You will receive all the help you need here, there is always some around to give advice or just lend an ear.  So happy for you.

Now I have a couple weeks to work out what to make first .. so many things to try!

Can I ask, do you think it's worth getting the Quick Fix in the Thermomix book??

Welcome Kiki.  I have had my Thermie for less than a week now and have already cooked quite a few of the recipes from Quick Fix in the Thermomix.  I really recommend this book.  I'm going to make the Salmon Patties for dinner tonight.

I was very lucky with the delivery time of my Thermie - ordered on a Wed afternoon and it was delivered the following Monday night. 

You are going to love it when you get it!  Good luck.

Actually, I have that book already - just sitting on the shelf waiting to be used (along with my folder of printed out recipes!).

So do you have any favourite recipes in that book??

Have a look at the Recipe Reviews on the home page Kiki. 17 pages and a book on the shelf is normal addictive behaviour. You will fit in well  :D
