Title: Hello from the UK
Post by: JeremyUK on October 09, 2012, 07:55:10 am
I'm Jeremy from London. I've had my TM for just under a week and it's already found a great place in my kitchen. So far it's made:

Bread
Soup
Goulash
Mousse
Curry
Pasta
Bolognese
Bechamel
Jam
Chutney
Curry Paste

How's that for starters!

Looking forward to participating in the forum.

Hi Jeremy from London - a big welcome to another member from the UK.  Great start to your cooking with that list, did you use recipes from the UK Fast & Easy Cooking book?

Some from the Fast & Easy cooking book, the Indian book and a couple from the iPad app. Forgot about the Moroccan aubergine salad and fudge!

Wow! You've done exceptionally well for a first time user. Good on you for trying out lots of different things.

You've found the right place for great recipes, great interaction and great people who'll offer you lots of assistance when you require it.

Welcome.

Wow, I think you used your Tmx in the first week more than I used it in the first month.

Likewise more than our first 6 months (even though I'm the person cooking, for the first 6 months to a year it was my wife's toy and it was barely used for anything beyond rolls or the odd soup, then I said sod it and its now more my toy)

Anyway, welcome Jeremy from another Brit. :)

Hi Shally i read your post too quickly and I thought it read " welcome from warm North Yorkshire" I laughed and thought that was a bit of an oxymoron then I re read what you had actually written 😄

Alas Greyhoundmum I wish I could say it was warm North Yorkshire - it is 3 degrees at the moment, grey skies and damp underfoot. I smile  :) when I read on the forum that someone has picked lemons from a tree  :o how I envy you that.

On the flip side however, as much our weather in the UK can be a bone of contention I realise we are not subject to the extreme weather conditions like we have seen this week with Hurricane Sandy. It saddens me immensley when you see lives lost and homes destroyed  :'( :(. No fires, floods, hurricanes, tsunamis or earthquakes like we see across The Globe. So when I weigh everything up I feel blessed and know I am lucky to live in this 'safe' climate. Just means I have to take more holidays to find the sunshine  ;)

Shally  :-* :-*
