Title: Hello!
Post by: Karen-F on September 24, 2012, 05:33:26 am
My name is Karen, I am mum to my to 3 kiddies, wife to a shift working hubby, I work p/t and studying at uni p/t. Needless to say life is busy.

I have owned my TMX for about just over 12 months and thoroughly enjoy finding new ways of using it. A friend of mine who is equally passionate about using her TMX and I have recently started a blog callled The Thermomix Diaries, we are sharing our culinary adventures and hope to inspire other TMX cooks out there.

Look forward to chatting :)

Best wishes
Karen

Hi Karen and welcome to the forum.  Love your blog, it's nice to see other's thoughts about recipes from the books. We have a special section here on the forum where our members post their reviews and tweaks  (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?board=48.0) if needed and I would never do a recipe from one of the books without checking there first.

You and Justine really have a special bond to be able to work together on your blog and I can imagine how much fun it is for you both.

Thanks everyone!!!

Aussie Brenda...I think you nailed it! Theromix Junkie is very apt! hehe

Thanks JudyDawn, I am still familiarising myself with the forum.  I will make time to have a look through the review section...I have looked up a few things on there. I try where possible to share how I found a recipe :-)

Best wishes to you all!

Hi Desi...

I am almost 1/2 way through a teaching degree (primary). I love studying, I love applying it to my kiddies, and love the idea of having my own classroom one day...but I struggle with the pull between family and uni.

Just trying to do my best, and will be happy when it is completed.

Hi Karen,

It's nice to be doing something you enjoy. You'll find that as soon as you pass your 1/2 way mark, the rest of the time will fly.Thank goodness for the TMX, it is such a big help.

I did a similar thing to you when I did my degree in Socy, externally. I worked 30hours a week with a family of two children and a shiftworker husband. I also enjoy studying and sometimes I miss that time. Now however, I study independently just for the knowledge. I love learning a new language.

Best wishes

Desi
