Hi everyone,
My 3 yr old loves gingebread men and im after a healthier version that we can make together. I have seen Quirky Jo's which looks fantastic but i need a faster version to keep my 3 and 15mth old entertained. I want to use rapadura and maybe honey?? Instead of golden syrup. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks :D

This recipe is from the Thermomix UK Recipe website.I haven't tested them but Janie Turner says it's an authentic Norwegian recipe.
Pepperkake (Gingerbread Biscuits) - Anne Henriksen (http://www.ukthermomix.com/recshow.php?rec_id=53)
You could experiment and substitute honey for the golden syrup and rapadura for the sugar. Have fun. :)

I recently made this gingerbread and it is really yummy. I made star biscuits and iced them with royal icing and them stacked them to make a Christmas tree. I had more biscuits than I needed and my family polished them off in no time at all(http://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/09/20/ne8u6yna.jpg)(http://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/09/20/e3upyvyp.jpg)
I think it would work with honey and rapadura

Thank you Cornish Cream and Emerald Sue. ;D
Emerald Sue did you use the same recipe as Cornish Cream?

I just made the recipe you gave me Cornish Cream and it was delicious and simple. I substituted in rapadura sugar and honey, plus i had no star anise so i used nutmeg. The kids loved it. Thanks again

Lovely to hear that the recipe changes worked for you Hazza and most of all you had fun cooking with your children :)
