I was hoping someone would be able to help me out with a TM concern. Last night while cooking rice (normal method), the machine was on sp 4 and it started to make a high pitched squeaking sound. I reduced the sp to 2 and it was fine. Today while pureeing soup as the sp got past 6 it did the same thing. Does anyone know why this is happening and should I ring my consultant to get my machine checked out? I've had my TM for about 5 months with no problems. TIA!

Yes, get your consultant to check it out . . mine does the same thing when I'm steaming fish/vegetables. (between 3 and 4) When I lower the speed the noise disappears . . It doesn't do it all the time but when it does it's extremely annoying I must say!! ;D

Thanks goldfish, I think I'll give her a call tomorrow. I don't want to damage the machine by ignoring it.

Mine does this too, can you let me know what happens with yours inthekitchen? I havent investigated it further because I dont want my TM taken away :'(

Ooooh mine sometimes makes the same noise around speed 4 as well. What was the outcome?

Those numbers are easy enough to reset aren't they Hally? Maybe your prongs are damp or something.

Yes I just turn it all off, unplug & start up again.
