Title: Spinach & silverbeet what should I cook?
Post by: Aleisha on August 27, 2012, 12:42:43 pm
I need some inspiration. I have two packs of baby spinach and a bunch of silverbeet. I'm after some good recipe ideas that hubby and a 1 year old will eat (both aren't too fussy). Thanks in advance.

You could chop it up and cook it down in a pot of bolognese :)

Thanks for the recipe judydawn.  I made it today and daughter and I both love it. I'm still waiting for hubby to get home so he can try it. I think it may become one of our weekly meals.

So glad you liked it Aleisha, it's always hard to know if people are going to like something you like.

When I have excess spinach I put it chopped up onto herb bread with cream cheese, bacon, red onion, red capsicum, cheese and pizza topper and cook like a pizza - we all love it, and none of us like spinach!  :)

I love to make an Italian side dish with lots of garlic and chilli sautéed in OO. Add Spinach or Silverbeet and cook down. Serve with steak or other red meat.
