Just thought that i would let all Taswegian Thermie Lovers know that i have just recently come across a fantastic farm selling meat direct to the public - Conmurra Farm (https://www.facebook.com/#!/Conmurra.Farm) conmurrafarm@bigpond.com. Although not exactly a co-op, I thought locals may be interested. The farm is on the East Tamar, and they deliver statewide (free for orders over $60). Their prices are very good, and the meat we have tried so far is superb, eg sides of lamb $75 or on special we purchased at $65 for the side, $8.50kg for skinless chicken breasts, around $9kg for premium mince. I love buying local, and cutting out all of the expensive "middle men"! They currently only have a facebook site (above) and the e-mail and phone (03 63 301 695) but are currently building a website.
By the way, I have no affiliation with the farm/business, just a very happy customer spreading the word!

I did start one a long time ago, Uni . . but became a bit disillusioned when long conversations started appearing between people I'd never heard of and one of my contacts. I found the whole thing a little scarey to tell you the truth! ;D So now I'll look at it every now and then but don't put anything up . . .

Looks fantastic value to me :)

We have purchased from them several times, we recently brought a full pork, beef mince and burgers. We have our own lamb so don't need to buy any.
Several years ago they used to buy pigs from us when my DH was breeding them.
I certainly have had no complaints about their meat so far :D

Sounds good, thanx for the heads up on them! :D
