The Everyday Porridge is excellent. Here is is with almonds and dates added in and garnished with yoghurt and strawberry - YUM!

Looks good. Must admit, I have never made porridge in the TMX - I have been using the microwave for years and have the mixture well under control and just how I like it - and I think it is easier to clean the utensils I use when making porridge - my feeling is that the TMX would be a bit more time consuming to clean because porridge can be such a sticky mixture.

it is easier in the MW marina, but for the last few week i have been doing it the TM and i am very happy with it ,was more
of a personal challenge for me, the trick is to heat up the milk 1st then add the oats
i had porridge last night for dinner a i made the CADA and mixed that through it was really yum and filling
CADA have u tried it ?
-
I Love CADA, Uni. In fact, I have had to stop eating it because it was becoming too addictive! DH has it every day for breakfast and I would have it every meal given the chance!
-
how much do u make at once? does the apple go yuk? how do u store it ?
-
Because I can only use my TMX on Sundays, I make my CADA for the week then, minus the apple - we add that at the time we eat it. I actually prefer the apple a bit on the chunky side so that works well. I love it with Timboon yoghurt and strawberries / blueberries, etc. Tenina once posted adding frozen mango cheeks at the time of making the CADA and I have been meaning to try this when I make a small portion of CADA as well and keep forgetting, but it sounds so totally delicious! I think I am about to go into CADA withdrawal if I don't have some more soon!!!

Cuilidh, how come you can only use your TMX on Sundays?
I add blueberries to my CADA for a bit of antioxidant hit and today I also added some Crio Bru! Just a small amount. Tasted quite nice.

I made the EDC porridge for the first time today (an individual serving size). I bought good quality oats & followed the recipe exactly aside from cooking for 10 minutes. It was the best porridge I've ever eaten. I think this will be a regular breakfast over the next few months. I'm going to give the date & nut idea a go too, that sounds fantastic!

I hate to admit that I have never made my porridge in the tmx. I really should give it a try.

I agree with the others that MW porridge is easier, but the TMX makes it so easy to add yumminess like CADA, dates, seeds etc! When I'm making plain old porridge I use the MW, but a fancier/healthier version I use the TMX :)
I like Amy's porridge with apple & sultanas too...http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=11672.0 (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=11672.0)

I have been making this once every couple of days... milled the oats for a smoother consistency. Delicious. Best porridge ever. A little golden syrup and milk.. perfect

It sounds perfect for a cool winter morning.

I make porridge in the TMX nearly very day, I love it put the bowl to soak as soon as the mixture is out give it a wizz and it isn't to bad to clean or I process the scraps for the worms straight after and the bowl is nearly rinseable.
