Title: Porridge for 1
Post by: fundj&e on August 17, 2012, 11:54:58 pm
This is how i like my porridge

2/3 cup milk
½ a cup of oats
50 mls extra milk
Heat milk on varoma for 2min on speed 2
Add oats 2mins @ 80 on speed 1
Add the extra milk, 1mins @ 80 on speed 1

I usually make it in the M/W and it only take me 2min + 1min standing time
On the stove top i usually burn it

Looks yum, do you have to caramelize the almonds before grinding?

Hi Uni I have porridge for one most mornings, I only use 1/3 cup porridge, 2/3  cup of milk and 1/3  cup of water, cook for 10 mins 100 degs on 3 ...just throw it all in together.  very creamy and yum.   I love the look of the Almond praline, I have banana and honey and a extra dash of milk.  Is the praline recipe on here?

We all must cook our porridge differently  ;D

I soak 1/3 cup oats in 1/3 cup of water and a sploosh of whey overnight and add 2/3 cup milk, stir well and cook on 90 degrees, reverse, speed 1 for 9 mins. served with yogurt, chia, psyllium and berries. Yum.

When I am on a 'fasting' day, I add 2/3 cup of water and a 1/4 cup of milk to the soaked oats.  It is more runny, but still really tasty and served with raspberries.
