Bought some ;D
-
Looks a great product.. :)
-
Looks good, so would you use cleaning product with it? Or just the wipe. Also I wonder how they clean, would stains like curry, tumerice etc wash out or not?
-
Excellent, was waiting to see what she had next before I ordered another spatula and brush set :)
-
I've just ordered some too.
-
My link keeps crashing on my iPad! :-)) ???
-
wow, they look good too
-
Would you believe I have tried to look at this twice and both times the phone rang. I am going to wait until someone else is inside the house so I can watch it uninterrupted.
One phone call was from my brother in a small village east of Canberra. He wanted to gloat-it was snowing. :) :)
-
the news said it was going to snow in syd today , nothing yet
-
It sure is windy though.
-
no wind here Mich
-
Bought some ;D
-
These look really good, might have to order some.
-
With the large one, I'm going to sew a cake of soap into it and hang it around the graden tap so DH and I can wash our hands after gardening, fishing, etc.

Sorry Gert I'm being stupid as I now realize that it was a gift in your goodie bag :-)) :-)) But if anyone has received their parcel from Hekene I would be interested to know how long it did take to get to them.
-
I got mine in the goodie bag .
Yeah I would say she would have worked out postage and price pretty close. I doubt she is making a fortune. I wouldn't worry at all. They will come. Depends on how good your postage service is. It has to go through customs as well.
You will be thrilled when you get them.
Gert
-
Gert did you use any detergents or cleaning stuff or just the scrubbie and water?

Normally our post is pretty good as my spatulas and brushes came within a week.We did have a bank holiday this Monday so maybe it's got stuck in the backlog of parcels. :)

I do not have even one cleaning product in my house. Water and or viinegar is all you will find here. I do have gumption and enjo marble beads which I rarely use . I cannot stand the stink. My cleaner approves. Oh waiti do use the cheap Domestos sometimes.

You don't need any "stuff".
Gert
-
Cool can't wait to get some Gert keep telling us what you do with them please, as only the lucky ones from the retreat have theirs yet, maybe we should start a new topic, what jobs we are doing with our scrubbies
-
Posted your scrubbies this morning Yvette.
The scrubbies made my llaundry tub sparkle, I used a bit of gumption with it.
-
Loving my scrubby that I was given at the weekend, thanks so much.
I am going to order more also need more spatulas as I gave my spare away.
-
Got notified this morning that our scrubbies have been posted, now the wait to see how long they take to get to us in Melbourne. I'm sharing a pack with a few others so we can all join in.
-
Lovely idea Wonder.
I need another couple of spatulas too. Seems I need one in every drawer and I am thinking Christmas presents. Gifts that look good , are unique, and keep on giving.
Gert
-
Thanks Michele pm me and let me know how much I owe you and how to pay can't wait to see them :o
-
I finally went out to the garage to clean the bird poop off the windscreen. For those who drove to the MR you will find it very useful.
Itt rinses easily. I am loving it. Thanks Helene. You just get working on those orders. No playing with your THERMOTHINGY.

Ok just had to come on and post about these.. Ordered these about a week go now and they rrived very quickly like in only a couple of days.. I know helene has no control over the post but she is very quick at getting them out.. Got a shock to see them arrive so quickly!!
THESE SCRUBBIES ARE FABULOUS!! For me better than the little brushies and super spatula although great also these scrubbies for me top them all.. I only have the two i got in the kit but will be ordering the bulk pack soon as i can see a use for them all over the house...
Just SCRUBBULOUS!! 😄😄
-
Just SCRUBBULOUS!!
Love that word!
-
Got my scrubbie, spatulas and brush kit today. Gave my sister one of each as I already have 2 other spatulas :D
-
LOL Frozzie, I love your new word! :-* SCRUBBULOUS it is! ;D
It's past 1 am here now :o and I was heading for bed but my ears started ringing so I hopped onto the forum and here you are, all talking SCRUBTALK. :D
To those who received samples at Forumfest, you are most welcome :) it was an absolute pleasure to share them with you this way and send scrubbies and stickers when I couldn't be there myself. So glad you are enjoying them.
I have to say it was a bit of a 'leap of faith', deciding to offer these in the shop and then do a video about them as they are something so 'common' at my house. I wasn't at all sure that their 'practicality' would translate across the distance, even with help of video. As those of you who now have them in hand already know, they are small, and somewhat um.. 'rustic' ... complete with little imperfections... but very effective! But as I said on the video... people do get 'passionate' about them and often can not return to their former ways once they've tried these. Of course they won't be for everyone, but for some of us, they are SCRUBBULOUS!
A few emails have come in from people asking if I can do smaller kits with fewer scrubbies. The reality is that there is not much money to be made from scrubbies, as the shipping cost is greater than the value of the scrubbies unless you order a bunch -- Hence the bulk pack.
When it occurred to me that some people may take a serious liking to these I realized that I should offer a bulk pack which also lets me put a couple of large ones in. (Trust me, once you try the large, you'll always want to have both sizes on hand!)
The main reason I've added these to the store is not to profit, but to share the tools that work best for me. I thought that by adding two to the Thermo Lover's kit, it would 'round out' the kit and provide all my fave tools in one packet. It's really heartwarming to realize that people trust my opinion enough to order these kits and thankfully, seem to concur -- that these tools are a good fit for our Thermokitchens.
I've heard all kinds of reports regarding arrivals times. The post office has been surprisingly wonderful recently and most see parcels within 1-3 weeks. Love MCMich's idea, and Gretchen's, and and and. Thank you all, for your enthusiasm!
ps - and why do you think I'm still up at 1:30 am??? Packing scrubbies for you of course :-* ;) :-*
-
Thanks Helene, a few of us have got around the bulk pack by sharing. Can't wait to get them and give them a try and you never know I might regret sharing my bulk pack!
-
Michele just received my scrubbies thank you very excited to try them on the weekend, don't forget to pm me the amount I owe you :-))
-
I'll be putting an order in late next week once I have changed providers so that my email address will be correct. I have so many people I can give one to and I want one for every wet room in the house.
-
That's good Judy they feel quite rough not what I was expecting will give them a good workout this weekend.
-
Yes some reviews would be nice and also what different ideas people have been using them for. Gretchen has given a few variables, sometimes we don't think outside the square.
-
Yes true Judy that's why I thought it would be good to have a new topic HOW YOU ARE USING YOUR SCRUBBIE
-
Good idea, someone who has used theirs on different jobs may like to start the thread. Gretchen?
-
Yes Gretchen or I will start one next week after I have used mine ;)
-
The kit of spatulas, brushes and scrubbies I ordered last Friday arrived safe and sound today. Looking forward to trying everything out this weekend.
Helene is doing a wonderful job of despatching her orders as soon as she gets them (no wonder she was so shattered when you visited her earlier this week Gert!).

I had to collect my scrubbies from the sorting office of the post office today as Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs stung me for £5.37 and the Post Office charged me a £8 handling charge. The guy behind the counter said try to keep parcels to the cost of £18 or $30.
All unpacked and they do look good ;D Thanks Helene :-*
-
Boy they know how to charge over there CC, 8 pound handling fee, what a rip off, I think here in Aus. if the parcel is over $100.00 we have to pay customs, but no handling fee. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I agree Jen, the £8 handling fee is outrageous.
-
Made for an expensive parcel CC. Did you have to pay anything when I sent you that large recipe book?

I was just unfortunate that the scrubbies got caught as I have never had it happen to any parcel from overseas before. The book you sent me sailed through ;) :)
-
Generally, here in Australia, if your package has a value of is less than $1,000 it should come through without any problems. There may be the odd time when something will get stopped, particualrly by Quarantine if they feel the package contains plant or animal matter, so our scrubbies should come through without any problems.
-
Mine came in exactly a week.
They feel quite rough and worked well on a callous on my foot. Has anyone used them on the TM? I assume they are safe and won't scratch it - I haven't tried one yet as I am paranoid about damaging it and would love a report from someone who has used it.
-
Fine on the THERMOTHINGY
Gert
-
I love mine, it is so useful for everything. Even DH remarked on how good it is. (he washes and I dry the dishes.)
-
My TMX bowl had a black accumulation along the leading edge of the 'ribs' on the sides of the jug and Chookie thought this was due to the water in rural Victoria. I had tried all sorts of things to clean the marks off, all to no avail, then I ran a scrubbie around it at the weekend and it looks like the marks have now all come off (I was so astounded I just put the jug away without double checking, but I think they have gone, much to my relief!).
-
Thanks for the replies. Sounds like they are fine for the TM.
I am going to give a couple to both my daughters as well and wanted to be sure their TMs wouldn't be scratched.
I didn't read the instructions thoroughly and thought it was for skin (and not just callouses or rough skin). So I just "tested" it on my arm and now I have red graze marks along it!

Oops. Did it take the hair off.

WARNING do not rub to hard on skin I nearly had a disaster too
-
The are pretty abrasive pads so care should always be taken. I found I needed to wear gloves to protect my hands when using them to scrub around the kitchen / bathroom.
