Hello everyone!
Well my long awaited TMX finally arrived last night and I am one happy woman!
I have a quick question though as am new to the world of baking -
I have the standard dry yeast sachets that you can buy in the supermarket, however, have noticed many recipes state to use '"x" tsp of Dry Yeast'. How many teaspoons is equivalent to one Sachet Dry Yeast?
Thanks in advance :)

Hi Jam, it is equal to 2 level teaspoons.

Thanks Judy. :)

If you're planning to use yeast a lot JAM it is easier if you buy a container of it. The one I use is in a red cylindrical container and I keep it in the freezer.

the container is freezeable too, and it tells you on the tin if you forget how much to use :)
-
I was wondering this too and so I bought the tin, thanks for tip Cookie, it's now in my freezer :)

What is the equivalent of 1 x 7g yeast sachet to fresh yeast?
-
think its 15g - usually double the weight of dried

Thanks, CP
