Post by: merl81 on July 27, 2012, 02:57:25 am: Hi, My name is Melissa, but my friends call me Merl (there were too many others called Mel when I was at school, so I got something different!) I am 30yrs old, married for nearly 8yrs, have 2 beautiful girls, (2.5 & 4.5yrs old) and am a part time primary teacher.

I just got my Thermomix this week and I am super excited about it!! I made strawberry sorbet, a savoury mince and pesto dip the first night. I have had a bit of a look around the forum already and love that there are so many tips and recipes on here.

I have cut out as much sugar as possible in our house this year, so I am looking forward to all the healthy meals I can quickly and easily make in the Thermomix.

I'm trying, too, but I am a bit of a sugar junky so I'm not very successful. I have been successful in stopping my son from being addicted to it in the first place, though, so that's a win!

It is a small world, I have heard that a few people around here have a TMX. Although I only personally know of me and my friend.
