Peanut Butter Biscuits with Choc Chips
A friend of mine gave me this recipe and I have converted it to TMX.
The original recipe was by Curtis Stone ;)
Ingredients:
280g crunchy peanut butter
100g brown sugar
100g caster sugar
125g butter, at room temp
30g honey
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla
150g plain flour
1/2 tsp bicarb soda
155g chocolate chips or chunks
Preparation:
1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees and line three trays with baking paper.
2. Place all ingredients except flour, bicarb soda and chocolate in TM bowl. Mix for 20 seconds/speed 6. Scrape down sides of TM bowl and mix for another 10-20 seconds/speed 6.
3. Add flour and bicarb. Knead for 45 seconds/interval speed.
4. Add chocolate. Mix for 10-20 seconds/reverse + speed 4.
5. Place heaped tablespoons of mixture onto baking trays, leaving room for spreading. Bake for about 12 minutes or until the biscuits puff up and brown but are still soft to touch.
6. Leave to cool for 5 minutes on trays before moving to a wire rack.

Delightful Den - They are wonderful. I am glad I made them to take to work because they wouldn't last long around me.

Peanut butter and chocolate are 2 of my favorite things. I am going to have to make some of these. Thanks for the recipe Amy.
-
How did I miss this - your biccys look amazing Amy! Damn I'm spitting chips and they are not choc :-))
-
Thanks CP :) I was surprised nobody had made this recipe yet, maybe you are not the only one who missed it? :-))
Dash, I can't wait to hear how you like them. My mum hasn't let me make them again because she couldn't stop eating them last time ;)
-
They sound great Amy. My hubby loves peanut butter he eats it straight out of the jar. These are definitely on my baking list.
-
why oh why did I not see this earlier! I felt like choc chip cookies the other day so just made the ones from the EDC book. They were alright but not the greatest. They also didn't flatten out like to look like the ones in the picture.
Will definitely be making these ones next time I have a hankering for choc chip!

Yep - I'll be making these today, too!

I made these tonight. They are wonderful. I am glad I made them to take to work because they wouldn't last long around me.

I would make them but someone has eaten all the choc bits.

Not the Margaret River ones :'( :'( :'( :'(

They were going to get eaten eventually Sue... :-))
I highly recommend you get some more choc bits to make these though. Or not, if you're on a diet ;D
-

Diet is a dirty word anyway ;)

We have the choc chips, but no peanut butter at the moment. Someone finished it for breakfast and didn't put it on the list. :'(
